Sama Park is a large botanical garden near Cambrils that has been home to tropical and Mediterranean trees for over a hundred years.
Various animals live here, and there is also a large lake with islets and carved bridges, in which numerous turtles swim, a high tower with an observation deck and the palace of the former owner and creator of the park, Marquis Salvador Sam. Having visited Cuba, the marquis was so imbued with this sunny island that he decided to arrange a mini-oasis of Cuban landscapes in his native Spanish land.
From mid-July to mid-August, Sama becomes one of the stages of the Cambrils International Music Festival.
