Cape Formentor is located in the northernmost part of Mallorca - a picturesque place with a beautiful view of the island of Menorca. There are several ways to get to Cape Formentor, the cheapest of which is a water taxi ticket.

The rocky cape is surrounded by pines descending to the steep shore. On the cape itself there is an observation deck from where you can see the island of Colomer, mountains, endless expanses of the sea. After admiring the picturesque nature, you can go down to the Formentor beach.

Highlights of Cape Formentor
If during the season you are going to Cape Formentor from afar, for example, from Palma, it is advisable to leave no later than 9:00. This is due to the fact that the lighthouse is very popular among tourists, and there are many who want to visit it. Near the lighthouse itself, parking is free, but there are no more than 20 parking spaces, so an early arrival makes it possible to leave the car without unnecessary stress on the nervous system. The last part of the route (about fifteen kilometers) runs along a steep mountain serpentine.→

Formentor in January
We got to Formentor in January. Under the snow, rain and hurricane wind))) We are not looking for easy ways))) Formentor rewarded us for this with a completely empty road and viewing platforms. At the lighthouse we were in splendid isolation.→
