Place d'Assas was designed and rebuilt as recently as 1986. Author of Martial Raysse. The square is full of symbolism and allegories, emblems from the world of alchemy, tarot, Freemasonry and the Bible. The head means the god Nemausus - the masculine principle of the city. Another head symbolizes the feminine Nemaus - the source from which Nim arose. In the center is a symbolic image of the Garden of Eden and the paradise of Mohammed.
