The Basilica of the Sacré-Coeur is a Catholic church in Paris, built in 1876-1914. designed by the architect P. Abadi in the Roman-Byzantine style, located on top of the Montmartre hill, at the highest point (130 m) of the city.

From the top of Montmartre, where a wide multi-tiered staircase leads, a panorama of Paris opens and a view around in clear weather for 50 km.

Very nice place and church
Went there with my husband in February and loved it! We once lived in Montmartre and could walk to the Sacre Coeur every day. Of the benefits: you can sit on the benches if it's not too cold. Imagine how it is in the summer. Probably all French people sit on the grass in summer and drink wine and eat cheese. Eh! Entrance to the church is absolutely free for everyone! A very beautiful panorama of the city opens. Ready to love forever.→

Decoration of the Hill and Paris.
A visit to the Sacré Coeur is inextricably linked with a visit to Montmartre. This beautiful building quite adequately crowns the hill. Holy Heart. I propose to climb on foot and then the views from the observation deck and the Basilica itself will be your reward. If there is no strength, then use the funicular. The ticket will be the same as for the metro. Paste it into the validator and that's it. Silence is requested in the Basilica. They can make a comment. You can buy a souvenir medal with the image of Sacred Coeur in the machine for 1-2 euros.→
