The famous Parisian cabaret "Moulin Rouge", located at the foot of the hill Montmartre, first opened its doors on October 6, 1889. As conceived by the creators, the red color was not chosen by chance, but symbolizes that the building belongs to the Red Light District. This institution is a cross between a nightclub and a museum. Moulin Rouge is a favorite vacation spot for the creative intelligentsia. Picasso and Oscar Wilde often visited here, but the cabaret became most famous thanks to Toulouse-Lautrec, who, being a regular at the Moulin Rouge, painted many pictures of dancers.

Red mill.
We were doomed to visit the Moulin Rouge, as we saw it from the windows of the hotel every day. Booked a visit with dinner at 19.00. Menu chose "Toulouse Lautrec". The ticket cost 170 euros. 0.5 bottles of champagne in the cost of dinner, the rest for extra. fee. Champagne decent "Mumm" brut. In my mind, I will say this. I did not see any special aesthetic delights. But all together: dinner, champagne and Moulin Rouge - it was unforgettable! I won't go for the second time.→

The famous cabaret visited by Picasso, Oscar Wilde, Prince of Wales, and of course Toulouse-Lautrec. I was not impressed, maybe a bad performance, or maybe we, the children of the Internet, are too spoiled for special effects.→
