This unremarkable monument is located on Montmarte and was erected there in 1989. The sculpture was created by the famous French actor Jean Mare (who also turned out to be a talented sculptor) in memory of his friend, the writer Marcel Aime. The 2.5 m high bronze statue depicts the protagonist of Aime's famous story "The Man Passing Through the Wall". The features of the writer are easily recognizable in the sculpture - in the image of a man frozen in the wall, the writer and the ambiguous character of his story are combined. It is believed that if you hold the monument by the hand, then new opportunities will open up before a person, and desires will come true.

When I was in Montmartre, I tried to get around all the sights located on the hill, including this one. More looking for this place than spending time there. Nothing special, only for fans of the author interesting. Of course I took a photo to keep as a keepsake. If you do not have a lot of time, then you should not spend it looking for it.→

"Passing Through the Wall"
It has been raining heavily since morning. The winter day is short, it was already getting dark when I climbed the narrow deserted streets to the top of Montmartre. By this time it was already quite dark. In masonry, “Passing through the wall” froze forever - this literary character once discovered a unique ability to pass through stone barriers. A lot of things happened to him from escaping through the prison wall to visiting a girlfriend (his ability to pass through, fortunately, did not extend to a girlfriend).→
