The Satapli Nature Reserve is located at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, on Mount Satapli. It was opened in 1935, in modern borders - in 1957. The reserve is famous for the traces of dinosaurs found on the petrified site. On the territory of Sataplia there are several karst caves, as well as the crater of an extinct volcano.

In the world of dinosaurs, caves and beautiful nature.
A visit to the Sataplio reserve is one of the most exciting and interesting excursions on the territory of Imereti. It is located 10 km from Kutaisi. The main three attractions of the reserve are a pavilion with preserved dinosaur footprints, a karst cave and a glass balcony - an observation deck on top of Mount Satapli. Traces here were once found by one of the local residents, since then it was decided to dedicate this place to the reserve. I can’t even say which I liked more, probably all three at once : ) Well, how can you pass by dinosaur tracks? And inside, in underground caves, illuminated by multi-colored lights, a feeling of a magical fairy-tale underground kingdom is created.→
