Trafalgar Cemetery is a small cemetery in the center of Gibraltar, clean and well maintained. Founded in 1798, is a historical landmark. There are a large number of interesting commemorative tombstones, reminiscent of past tragedies, victims of yellow fever epidemics that claimed many lives. Passing to the end of the main street of Gibraltar Main Street, you can get to Trafalgar Cemetery, it got its name in honor of the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, it was previously called Southport Ditch Cemetery. Only 2 burials of the participants in the battle have been reliably recorded - officers who died after the battle from wounds, but there are several dozen unmarked graves in the cemetery, among which there may well be British sailors who died in the historic battle, although most of them found their grave in the sea.
