Victor Vasarely Museum

Victor Vasarely Museum
Hungary, Budapest
The museum was opened in 1987 and is dedicated to the work of Victor Vasarely. The museum is located in the Obuda district, on the banks of the Danube, and occupies part of the building of the Zichy Palace. The collection is based on Victor Vasarely's own works, painted in the op art style. Since 1959, the artist has donated his work to museums in Hungary several times. Another museum. Vasarely is located in his hometown Pecs.

If you are interested in art and at the mention of the name "Vasarely" you do not start frantically remembering the names of piano pieces and masters of the Renaissance, I can advise you to visit the Victor Vasarely Museum in Budapest. Victor Vasarely is a French artist and sculptor, "the pioneer of op-art". Born and raised in Hungary, he later moved to Paris, where he gained fame. He donated several hundred of his works to his native country. They served as the basis for of this museum. Personally, I liked the museum.
