Batthyani Square

Batthyány tér, Batthyany Square
Hungary, Budapest
Batthyani Square is located on the right bank of the Danube. It was named after the Hungarian revolutionary Lajos Batthyani. The main attraction of the square is the Church of St. Anne, built in the middle of the 18th century in the Baroque style. Also here are the Franciscan Church of St. Elizabeth and the monument to Ferenc Kelchei, who is the author of the text of the Hungarian anthem.
