The medieval Temple of the Goddess of Happiness Harshita Mata is not at all associated with Happiness, it was built presumably in the 8th century on a massive stone foundation and is currently in a dilapidated state. Centuries and invasions have affected! Fragments of sculptures awaiting restoration work are stacked on the base and nearby along the circumference, and it is not known how long they will have to stay in such an expectation. The surrounding residential areas of the town of Abaneri (about a hundred kilometers from Jaipur) are poor, children are waiting for tourists at the temple in anticipation of odd jobs for demonstrating tricks or just alms.→
