Chand Baori Well

The Chand Baori Well is a unique stepped structure located in the small Indian village of Abaneri. The well is a trapezoid 13-tier structure, going underground to a depth of 30 meters. There are many ladders on the walls of the well, the number of steps in total reaches 3500. The water in the well is not suitable for bathing or drinking.

The Chand Baori step well is considered a real architectural marvel that attracts the attention of not only numerous tourists, but also historians. This is one of the greatest structures, striking in its size and shape, because in our understanding a well is a narrow well in the ground, into which a bucket is lowered on a chain, but wells in India are completely different. Only here magnificent step wells were created, which were an architectural masterpiece, and the Chand Baori well, perhaps the largest and most beautiful of all, is a must see!.→
