I recommend it to lovers of ancient Roman ruins : ) In Pompeii from Rome, I traveled by train to Naples, and then by train. I do not recommend visiting Pompeii on your own. Huge areas have been excavated, and it is very difficult to find the most famous places. There is no greenery, nowhere to hide from the sun, no water, no shops, everything is with you. It’s better to come to the opening, I was already at 9 and before lunch I went with a guide (3 hours), and just walked a little more. After Pompeii, I recommend visiting the National Archaeological Museum (see my review about the museum).→
