Juliet's house

Casa di Giulietta
Italy, Verona
Juliet's House is a 13th-century house that belonged to the Dal Cappello family, the prototype of the Capulet family. A famous place in the house is the balcony on which, according to Shakespeare's play, Juliet stood when Romeo confessed his love to her. Here stands a bronze statue of Juliet, touching which is considered a good omen.

The most important thing to say about it is that this place, like all advertised tourist places, is dirty, noisy and not very attractive. We were in Verona for several days, so when we arrived for the first time in the afternoon, we quickly left it, and came to look and take pictures the next morning, when the crowds of tourists had not yet arrived. I didn't see anything particularly attractive. There is just a statue of a girl with a breast rubbed to a shine. Many try to get on the balcony, but do not know that this balcony is not historical at all, but was made at the request of tourists.

Guys, I visited Verona, for May, we stopped at Juliet's house. According to the stories, these are existing people. What it looks like: a cozy courtyard, in the courtyard there is a beautiful statue of Juliet, which is worn to a shine, as according to legend, whoever rubs the statue and makes a wish, it will definitely come true, and of course Juliet's small balcony. I advise you to come after 15:00 in the afternoon, because before that time there are a lot of tourists, there is no way to even go up to the statue, go to souvenir shops and there is a huge queue to send a letter to Juliet.

This day of my next visit to Veronochka passed in the rain, not too heavy, rather autumnal, drizzling. I walked around the city under an umbrella, fortunately, the sidewalks are paved evenly and there are no puddles. It is known that there is a blessing in disguise - the streets usually crowded with people were free and deserted. Even the courtyard of the house where Juliet lived is unusually sparsely populated! Only three Japanese near her statue, a couple moved away, giving me the opportunity to take a rare picture without a crowd, but one decided to show off - God be his judge! The sculpture, wiped from top to bottom by the lustful hands of onlookers, depicts a middle-aged woman, but not a young 14-year-old Shakespeare's heroine.

A tourist mecca - a patio with a balcony where Shakespeare's Romeo confessed his love to his Juliet. Hundreds of tourists on a small patch of land crowd in line for the right to touch the sculptural chest of Juliet. The legend says that if you hold it by the right breast, you will have success in love and all kinds of happiness. In practice, those who yearn for happiness polished the entire statue of the girl : ) The walls of the courtyard are painted with declarations of love, hearts and other amorous attributes.
