The Adam Mickiewicz Monument in Warsaw is a famous neoclassical monument located on the historic Krakowskie Przedmieście Street next to the Presidential Palace.
It was unveiled on December 24, 1898, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the great Polish poet's birth. The fundraising effort was initiated by writer Henryk Sienkiewicz.
The bronze statue stands 4.2 meters tall (the total height, including the granite pedestal, is approximately 10 meters).

The monument to Adam Mickiewicz near Warsaw was erected on the square, which was created as a legacy of the extensive jurisdiction of Dziekanka, to replace the fountain moved to Bankowy Square. The monument itself, created by the sculptor Cyprian Godebski, was later integrated into the works by Jó zef Pie Dziekoń ski and Wł adysł aw Marconi. The statue of a 4.5 meter curl was made in Italy. Column and pedestal of a monument made of granite, made from quarries near Baveno, Pié mont.
