Klong Plu Waterfall

Klong Plus Waterfall
Thailand, Ko Chang
The most popular and beautiful waterfall of Koh Chang - Klong Plu - is located on Klong Prao. It is also the highest waterfall on the island and is an important source of fresh water. A ten-meter column of water forms a small but deep pool of the upper level from which water falls into the lower large bowl, very convenient for swimming and diving. The maximum depth of the lower bowl is 7 meters. A 500m long path leads through the forest from the National Park Office to the waterfall. After a walk in the jungle, cool water refreshes and invigorates.

Since our hotel is located five kilometers from the waterfall, we decided to walk to it. We were lucky with the weather, it rained in the morning and the clouds had not yet scattered, the sun was not very hot. After turning from the main road, the route becomes more picturesque, there are fences on both sides, there are “elephant paths” - those who wish to ride on elephants. The Park is about two kilometers from the road, the ticket office is a ticket for two hundred baht (for locals, ten times less, of course), and here you are on the trail.

From the parking lot to the Klong Plu waterfall, there is a path through the jungle along the river. Comfortable shoes are desirable, although it takes about 10 minutes to walk, you can get there slowly and in flip flops. On the way you will meet a backwater where a large turtle lives. There are a lot of fish in the river; when entering the water, they bite a little on open parts of the body. The waterfall itself is not that big, but the water depth reaches 10 meters. You can swim and swim. The water temperature is about 20 degrees.

visiting the waterfall is paid. By purchasing a ticket parking for scooters is free. not knowing this, we left the bikes at the tavern of a local granny for 10 Baht, we thought that we would slip through without a ticket. didn't work out. take bread to the waterfall. fish poke right out of your hands. Be careful, slippery rocks!
