The Sun Yat Sen Memorial is located north of Taipei 101. It was founded in 1972 and is dedicated to an outstanding Chinese politician, the founder of the Republic of China. The monumental building, built in the traditional Chinese style, houses a statue of Sun Yat-sen, a huge library, and a museum that contains his personal belongings, photographs, documents, and a rich art gallery.
