The City Garden is the oldest public park in Odessa, located in the very center of the city along Deribasovskaya Street. The garden with acacias was founded in 1803 by Felix De Ribas, the brother of the founder of Odessa, Joseph De Ribas, on a piece of land he owned. After Felix ran out of supplies to maintain the garden, he donated the garden to the city in 1806.
In the city garden there is a summer theater of the city philharmonic society, a rotunda pavilion, a light and music fountain, a musical monument to Leonid Utyosov, The Twelfth Chair monument-sculpture, bronze figures of a lion and a lioness, monument to the pilot Sergei Utochkin. In the building of the reconstructed former pavilion of mineral waters, there is a cafe "Franzol", where you can taste Odessa cuisine.

City garden
A small square (less than two hectares) between Deribasovskaya and Lonzheronovskaya streets is a popular vacation spot for tourists and residents of Odessa. This was the first public garden in Odessa, which was laid out by Felix Deribas on his own plot in 1803 and donated to the city in 1806. The oldest sculptures - copper "Lion" and "Lioness" of the 19th century were installed here in 1927. Monuments to Ilf and Petrov (or the 13th chair) and Leonid Utesov are popular. Tourists are photographed near them.→

Charming vacation spot
I adore this garden - it is beautiful both in the early morning (romantic) and in the late evening full of lights (saturated and crowded). There are a lot of cafes and sculptures here, it’s just nice to be here ....walking along the main street (arteries) you run right into the heart ...This is the apogee of a walk through the sea city, here you need to linger and be glad that there were not only Osya and Kitty, but also you!→
