The Theodosia Museum of Antiquities is one of the oldest museums in Ukraine. The museum was approved by the decree of Alexander I, the official opening took place in 1811. The basis of the museum collection was made up of antiquities, lapidary monuments from the ruins of medieval Kaffa-Kefe, antique antiquities. The museum introduces the geology, flora and fauna, climatic features of the southeastern region of Crimea, as well as the history of ancient Feodosia, the nature of the Karadag nature reserve and the medieval craft of the Italian colony of Kaffa.

Museum below average

The exposition itself is quite good, but its framing, as in the vast majority of museums in the post-Soviet space, leaves much to be desired.→
