The fountain of I.K. Aivazovsky is located in the Jubilee Park (Feodosia). It was built in 1888. Feodosia constantly experienced a lack of water, especially after the forest was cut down on the nearby mountains. It got to the point that in the dry summer of 1887, water was delivered to the city in barrels by steamboats from Sevastopol. In the autumn of the same year, Aivazovsky decided to donate to his native city the Subashsky source, located on the territory of his estate. Feodosia began to receive daily 50,000 buckets of clean drinking water through the laid water supply from cast-iron pipes. The fountain of I.K. Aivazovsky, which became an architectural monument, was built according to the project and at the expense of the artist. In 1993, the reconstruction of the fountain was completed, and now its jet is again silvering.
