It was our honeymoon! I never thought that I would spend it in Thailand, probably because all the friends/acquaintances who visited there first of all told about transvestites and their similar adventures.
But there were circumstances that we were lucky to spend our honeymoon in this country!
We chose the resort and the hotel based on the reviews and recommendations of the travel agent.
AND DID NOT LOSE!
O. Phuket - KATA BEACH RESORT & SPA.
Amazing hotel with amazing beach! The water area of the beach is in the form of a lagoon, to which several hotels go. A kilometer from the coast there is a small uninhabited island all in greenery (to which we drove on water scooters)! The water is clean and transparent. We were surprised by tourists from other parts of the island, who said that even their feet were not visible in the water near their beaches ....
Sunbeds on the beach are paid.

Since we were fair-skinned at the beginning, it didn’t make sense to take such a sunbed for the whole day, and on the recommendation of a local guide, we laid towels right on the sand or went swimming, leaving our things and then sunbathing on a sun lounger near the pool - this is a 10-meter walk from the sea !
Our room was the Deluxe Seaview Room. I won’t describe what is in the room - it was already mentioned in the reviews earlier)
WEATHER. Having read on the Internet that the rainy season in this region is from April to October, we boldly went to Thailand in early November and ...learned from our own experience what tropical showers are. Of the 8 days of our stay on the island - only 3 days were without showers and drizzling rain. The weather has made adjustments to our tour schedule.
Due to a storm on the Similan Islands - we never got there, unfortunately (But fortunately in Phuket there is something to see and where to visit in rainy weather - and the free time we went to the zoo, to the fruit market, to the temple of the marble Buddha, did massages, etc. For 3 sunny days, we tanned well, and without lying vegetables on the beach)
FOOD. It's just heaven for seafood and fruit lovers (i. e. for people like me ; ))
Lobsters, shark steak, giant prawns, baked mussels, honey yellow mango, long kong, dragon fruit, pineapples – mmm. . ) and that's just the first thing that came to mind! Lunch and dinner can also be ordered at the hotel for about $25/person. -a large buffet, or you can leave the hotel, turn the corner and eat your fill in a cafe for $ 10 per person! We ate every time in different establishments, and at the end of the holiday we returned to the ones we liked the most. Among them are Lobster & Prawn and Orchid cafe; ".

On my husband's birthday, we had dinner at Lobster & Prawn, and when we had already ordered dessert, I went up to the waitress and asked to put a candle in the piece of cake ordered by my husband and light it in honor of our holiday. She nodded. A few minutes later, the background music that was playing in the restaurant changed to a loud “Happy Birthday”, the lights were turned off and, to the applause of all those present, the waiters singing a congratulatory song brought out a large plate stacked with fruits and orchids, on which there were ice cream balls poured with chocolate, and in them are lit candles. )) And this dessert was not included in our bill later, which surprised and pleased us even more!
Fruits were bought on trays on the street - they can be peeled / cut right away with you.
Sushi lovers: To try sushi, we went to Patong in the most popular sushi restaurant “FUJI”. They didn't taste better than ours, but it was worth a try.
SOUVENIRS.
Although they are all so cheap there - feel free to bargain and call your price 2 times less! Clothing prices are very low. You don’t have to take a lot of clothes from home with you - you still want to buy a new one and walk there in it) I bought a swimsuit for $ 12! Long linen skirts - $10! Tunics, sundresses, slippers - all in the same spirit.
Products from the skin of a snake, crocodile, stingray, ostrich. Big choice. But for example - the cost of a classic female crocodile skin - from $ 400, a wallet - from $ 100.
You should bargain even at a jewelry factory.
TOURS. Do not be afraid to take excursions not from your tour operator, but on the street. The price difference is 2 times! They carry on the same routes and with Russian-speaking guides.
We were in Khao Sok National Park. I advise! The spirit captures from such beauty of nature. On the same excursion we visited the temple of monkeys and rode on elephants.
The Simon Show is a transvestite show. Go! This is an amazing sight.
With beautiful costumes and colorful decorations! Well, look at SUCH exotic - very curious)
You should not take an excursion to the zoo - you can go there on your own. Entrance costs 500 baht. per person. The price includes 3 shows: monkeys, crocodiles and elephants. At 12:00 the first show - monkeys, an hour later - crocodiles, and then - elephants. You can get there - back by tuk-tuk - just ask the driver if he is going past the zoo.
Our excursions to the Similan Islands, Phi Phi and James Bond were shifted due to the weather and eventually did not take place (as I wrote above) - we did not have enough time. But there is a reason to return! )

BANGLA ROAD. Red Light Street in Patong. We visited all sorts of shows - it was interesting; ) In Patong "movement" with discos, bars, restaurants with live music.
MASSAGE. Massage at the hotel is expensive.
But it is worth leaving the hotel and turning the corner (as I already mentioned) and there are massage parlors at every step next to the cafes. The Russian guide assured us that it was safe there and no worse than in a hotel. Thai massage cost us 200 baht per person. ( about 7$!! ! ). They do it in clothes. For a whole hour they crushed us, kneaded us, walked on us and clicked on all sorts of necessary points! Very good! In the same salon, I tried SPA FISH (this is when you dip your feet into an aquarium, and the fish do a pedicure). Sense in 10 min. I did not feel it, but there were very unusual pleasant sensations).
BANGKOK. We had 2 days in the capital. Bangkok seemed to us a dirty city - Maybe just compared to the island. Shopaholic, there is expanse for you here - huge malls with a bunch of shops for any wallet! And souvenirs are cheaper here than on the island.
We visited "BAYOKE SKY" - the highest hotel in Thailand. Excursion with dinner there - $ 25 per person. Beautiful night view of Bangkok.
The next day we were at the SIAM Aquarium.
A large variety of fish, a transparent tunnel with toothy sharks). We bought tickets from our guide for $25 per person.
The jewelry factory and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha were included in the program of our sightseeing tour. To visit the temples, you need clothes that cover your shoulders and knees.
INSTEAD OF EPILOGUE. Thailand is a wonderful holiday destination for lovers of good service and beautiful landscapes, for seekers of sex adventures and exotics, for surfers and lovers of other water sports, for gourmets and just people who love delicious food, for the curious - who are interested in a different culture and mentality , for amateur and professional photographers who appreciate all the riot of colors, and for everyone who just loves summer and the sea!
