We rested from 06.09 to 16.09. 2010. Africa!!! ! Dear Africa!! ! And so this time we decided to fly to Tunisia, unknown to Belarusians. The flight from Minsk took more than 4 hours, landed at the airport of Monastir. We arrived at the hotel very quickly in 15-20 minutes, settled immediately after filling out the questionnaires. The hotel was built in one building, and the inner facade is white, and the outer one is orange, original. The rooms are large, the room has air conditioning, a TV, a refrigerator, a large 2-bed for adults and a separate one (if a child is traveling with you). We had a balcony overlooking the city, the animation did not interfere in the evening, and it is very pleasant to watch the sunsets of Tunisia. The holiday turned out to be bright, cheerful and memorable. Although it didn't start very well. AND SO IN ORDER. We flew in, settled in (we were resting with friends, we were 4 adults and 2 children), went to dinner, as the kids were pretty hungry and yelled in 2 voices. When they came for dinner, they realized that there was nothing special. . The food that was present on the tables was in a very small assortment, very spicy, there was practically no fruit, wine and Bukh (in our vodka) were very diluted. In short, dinner consisted of one watermelon, Martini and Metaxa from Dutik. The whole dinner was strategizing how to hold out here for 11 days. Further it was more interesting. We decided to go to the sea, because water always calms and puts our thoughts in order, but not this time. When we got to the beach, all four of us had HORROR in their eyes. We were waiting for white sand and the azure sea… Not only was the beach small and narrow, there were PILES of algae along the entire coast and the sea was black from this. Shocked by what we saw, my girlfriend and I decided that we had nothing to lose and went swimming. And again a surprise awaited us - the sea was very shallow and there were jellyfish in it, which bit and subsequently left marks on the skin and a burning sensation. The “pleasant” evening ended when a special sign with the name of the hotel did not light up on the evening program of the fire show due to strong wind. Hysterical laughter. . . and contemplation of a strategy how to SURVIVE? The night passed quickly, my husband and I sat on the balcony until the morning, met the dawn and decided that let it be as it is, we can’t change anything and a new day has begun !!! ! Everything changed as if by magic! It became warm in summer (after the Minsk autumn), slides for children were turned on (a complete delight), a variety of food was gaining momentum every day (fish, chicken, beef, turkey, etc. ), from fruits (watermelons, melons, grapes, peaches, apples, pears), delicious pastries and desserts. The beach was constantly cleaned, even the very sand of Tunisia, which we dreamed of seeing, even appeared. Of course, we never saw the azure sea, but we swam in it for 2 hours - the water temperature was above 30 degrees. Here is a real thrill! For some reason, jellyfish loved only me from our entire company, but this issue was also resolved, there is a tomato nearby - and there is no problem (the PLACE OF THE BITE SHOULD BE LUBRICATED WITH TOMATOES). Children's animation was 5, they occupied children in different ways during the day - they rode a banana, danced, drew, held contests. In the evening there were dances and various interesting and funny shows for children and adults. The animation team was SUPER - cheerful, smiling, always friendly. Special thanks to the animators Dasha from Moscow and Anya from Minsk, if any questions arose, they helped to solve them, and at the night disco they were such lighters that even in the evening we crawled to the night disco with our last strength and there we already had a good time. The hotel is small (a plus of this - our children of 7 years old ran everywhere and they could be found quickly), on the ground floor there are children's slot machines (for money), slides for different ages (children under 3 years old and separately for adults). On the territory of the hotel near the sea there are swimming pools with sea water. Nearby is a bar where during the day they serve delicious pizza and panini, and at night there is a fun disco. In the bar near the central pool with slides, they serve awesome donuts during the day, one of my photos is dedicated to them. Life was getting better and we were fully off. But for our husbands, everything was just beginning - our vacation coincided with the Ramadan holiday and all the liquor stores were closed. Everything was drunk from the dutik, the local drinks of the hotel were rejected - the soul was sad, but the liver was truly happy! And now Ramadan is over - HAPPINESS IS, in the photo report there is a photo of our spouses dedicated to this topic. We went on excursions to Carthage, Frigua Park, swept across the sea on a pirate ship. Independently went to Sousse and Monastir. Excursions are interesting and memorable. In general, what can be summed up - in general, Tunisia left warm memories - “hot sea”, beautiful cities, colorful markets with good-natured Arabs. I look at the pictures and smile. Maybe someday (when I look at other countries) I will return to my Tunisia.
