First time in Tunisia. Two adults and a 7 year old. After the closure of Egypt, tourists were chosen as the most budgetary vacation. The hotel was chosen by themselves using Google. Earth maps according to the criteria: large territory, own water park and sandy beach. Expectations were fully justified. Large clean area, good children's animation and performances by animators with a fakir-shay and stand-up (s). The animators include professional dancers, acrobats and just funny people. Despite the warnings of the press, everyone calmly walked around the city. There was no particular attention from the local population. Women are warned to dress modestly to avoid being confused with local prostitutes. (Prostitution in Tunisia is officially allowed). The mood is friendly. The hotel's security team is on duty at the beach. Armed police patrol on quad bikes along the beaches. In the city, cars with military men with weapons are parked at police stations.
The food is excellent: chicken, turkey, beef, fish in stock for lunch and dinner. There was even tuna. Compared to Egypt, fruits and watermelons were simply overwhelmed. Donuts, pancakes with chocolate, pizza are baked on the territory between meals.
Alcohol: Natural white, rosé , red wine of 2014 local dry production. Cedratin liqueur (Pretty decent 30g, $11), Pastice (aniseed vodka, 45g), Natasha and Boukha vodka (fig vodka, 36g, $7). The latter, diluted with water, is a vile swill, but in its pure form from duty free - like our moonshine or tequila, it is quite good.

The hotel worked for foreigners, but after the terrorist attack in 2015, foreigners retreated, their place was taken by our compatriots from Russia. According to the "all inclusive" system, the hotel only adapts to work with such a large number of visitors too.
Weather in early June: sea 22-23 gr. , air 28 gr. In the morning the sea is cool when you go in, you don’t want to go out. A light breeze creates comfort, but at the same time provokes a dangerous long exposure to the sun.
From excursions we went to the zoo in Frigula. Animals well-groomed in open open-air cages. Tickets from the hotel $ 20 for adults, $ 10 for children. Drive 1 hour from the hotel. Stay time - 2 hours is enough. You can feed and take pictures with giraffes, lemurs ($5 each). Some took a taxi with a 3-hour downtime for $25, but the guide says that this is an unjustified risk. But what is the risk for a Russian person if you can save a couple of dollars?
We took a taxi to the port of El Kantaoui for a walk and to an alcohol store for $ 2 one way, they say that you can also for $ 1.

Tip: There is no need to compare with Egypt and Turkey, this is a different country, different orders, a different climate, a post-revolutionary state of the country. We must accept Tunisia as it is. And you choose whether you like it or not!
