The hotel is normal. It's just not 5 stars. But we are not picky, and we paid for the rest, as for 3 *. We rested with a large company: me, two friends, my mother and a two-year-old gentleman. Of course, the period of our vacation had an effect: it is difficult to expect that the staff in the last weeks before the closing of the hotel will work as cheerfully and tirelessly as at the beginning of the season. You can understand people: they are tired of working for six months without a day off. But still, they tried their best. Waiters and animators are great! The girls at the reception, unfortunately, did not make a pleasant impression. But I'll start in order.
We arrived at the hotel at 12.00. Of course, after a sleepless night on the road, I wanted to quickly get to the room. We had a two year old with us. But check-in had to wait until 14.30. The girl at the reception said: "Cleaning. No rooms available. " It's funny to hear this: two weeks before closing, there were enough free rooms, which we were once again convinced of when we saw a half-empty restaurant. But we decided not to spoil our vacation with negative impressions of unconventional southern "hospitality" and went to the beach to wait for the settlement.
At 14.30 we were settled in a very nice room: two bedrooms and a living room. View from the windows: mountains and neighboring hotels. Fridge and TV worked. We did not use air conditioning: in October it is not needed. But it should be noted: in June - August, a single air conditioner for three rooms will not be enough. On the floor - ceramic tiles. The bathroom is spacious and beautiful. But for the first week of our stay we had problems with hot water. Every time either of us decided to take a shower, the warm water ran out after 5 minutes. I had to constantly call the girl at the reception and ask to solve the problem of hot water supply. The situation was significantly complicated by the fact that both girls, replacing each other at the reception, practically did not speak English. I think this is unacceptable for hotels that accept foreign tourists. (Only the girl who invited tourists to visit the hammam and the animators spoke Russian at the hotel). In general, we called the reception, the girls looked for a Turk who spoke English, the Turk translated our request to them (in a week I learned the phrase “hot water” in Turkish), then the girls sent a technician, 30 minutes after his visit, hot water appeared. But not for long. After a week of "entertainment" with hot water, I got tired. I had to go to the hotel manager with the question: “Should I call the reception before taking a shower and ask to turn on the water? Or should hot water flow when the faucet labeled “HOT” is turned on? ” The manager apologized, and from that moment hot water flowed from the tap without first calling the reception. Unfortunately, it should be noted that problems with hot water in October occur annually in many Turkish hotels: there are not enough solar panels, and the electric staff tries not to turn it on: electricity is expensive. There were no other problems in the room. All plumbing, telephones and hair dryer were in good condition. The furniture in the room is beautiful, but already greasy. Apparently, during the whole season, tourists smeared with all kinds of creams and oils, mercilessly lay on the sofa and sat in armchairs. But this is not the fault of the hotel staff. At home, probably, no one sits down in a chair, having previously poured a bottle of oil on himself before / after / from sunburn. We didn’t tire the cleaners much: people were tired, and we tried not to screw up in the room. Once in two weeks, we still asked to change the bed linen: the child stained the pillowcase with paints. Changed,... but only for a child. And on our beds, for tips, they wound swans from permanent linen.

The restaurant, judging by the remnants of its former luxury, fully corresponded to 5 stars during the season. Even at the end of the season, when tourists are “finished” with what their predecessors did not eat, you could choose something to your taste. For breakfast, they always baked pancakes and fresh scrambled eggs. And there were a lot of cakes. A small assortment of fruits depressed me, I had to go to the market, they bought everything that my soul desires. For a couple of days, lunch was “sad”: stewed vegetables, unnatural meat and stale salads. We thought that the rest of the vacation would have to eat fruits from the market and lose weight. But the Dutch arrived, and... a miracle happened! Real oriental abundance: several types of hot dishes - from fish, several - from chicken, there was even real meat. Salads and cakes are also very refreshed that day. It's a pity the Dutch were passing through our hotel, but then for two more days we happily ate the remnants of this royal banquet. Freshly squeezed juice (from last year's oranges) could only be bought at the restaurant for breakfast. So we bought juice from roadside vendors: they also had fresh oranges, and you could buy it at any time of the day or night, and even cheaper. There was also ice cream on the restaurant menu, which they tried to deprive us of. The distribution of ice cream began at 15.00. The child woke up by this time, promptly got ready (for ice cream), and at 15.30 we went to the ice cream stand. But the waiter said: “Sorry, there wasn’t enough ice cream, it’s already over. ” I transferred to the child. The baby's reaction was very negative. We went to look for ice cream at the reception. The girl said: "Ice cream finish. " But after a conversation with the hotel manager, a miracle happened: several types of ice cream appeared in the “empty” tray. The child was happy. Just in case, I asked the distributor of this childish joy whether we always need to look for ice cream from the hotel manager. The waiter apologized, and since then ice cream has been strictly on the menu: daily from 15.00 to 17.00. But we mostly bought ice cream in the center: only Algida was brought to the hotel, and on Turkish streets you can buy very tasty local ice cream. In addition to this minor trouble, the dishes in the restaurant made a very unpleasant impression. Of course, small chips and cracks are natural at the end of the season. This is not the problem: I already said that we are not fussy. But, there were not enough dirty dishes, and there were no clean ones at all. I note that even in 3 * hotels the dishes were always clean. I don't think the dishwasher is the problem. Perhaps the dishes were washed without powder. The waiters did their best, the chef showed miracles of skill, preparing delicious dishes from the remnants of food stocks.
In general, people worked hard. The animators also tried their best: fatigue affected. We mainly needed animation for the child: we ourselves can have fun, but we wanted to leave the baby with strangers in order to prepare for kindergarten. The mini-club near our building was closed: again, the end of the season had an effect. The mini-club on the beach was hit a few times. The animator girl entertained the children very well, but, unfortunately, she rarely visited the club. A couple of times we entertained the child ourselves using club equipment, once our baby was entertained by a Turkish family living nearby: they and their daughter came to the hotel club as if they were on a playground. Every evening the hotel arranged a children's disco, the children liked it. Even crying-capricious animators kissed and entertained. Well done!
The hotel's beach is small, the buoys are very close to the shore. The entrance to the sea is sandy, carved into the underwater rock. The width of the entrance is about 50 meters, on the sides there are sharp rocks. In October, of course, the entrance was free, but during the season, it was probably crowded with people. For some reason the water was cloudy. And one more unpleasant feature of the underwater world, which I encountered for the first time on this coast: stinging-spiny algae. Interestingly, on the beaches on the left and right (in Oba and in Mamutlar), algae look exactly the same, but do not prick. And one more thing: this is the only place on the entire coast where after swimming it is necessary to rinse with fresh water, otherwise, when the skin dries, white crystals (I hope, salt) form on it, which cause itching. I note that there is no such problem on neighboring beaches. In addition, on the beach of the hotel I was confused by the pungent smell of sheep. The sheep themselves were out of sight, but the smell... A bus drove tourists to the beach. The first days we adjusted to a very flexible schedule of his movement, then we began to walk. Before buying a tour to this hotel, I checked the bus schedule with the tour operator, since long walks in the sun with a blond baby were not in my plans. The tour operator, referring to the hotel manager, provided information from which it followed that the bus to the beach runs every 20 minutes. I decided that it was very convenient: the hotel stands on a mountain, away from the noise of discos, and tourists are taken to the sea every 20 minutes. Dream! But in reality, the bus for the first week of our vacation went to the beach from 10.00 to 12.00 - every 30 minutes, then, from 14.30 to 19.00 - every 30 minutes. And the second week the bus departed from 10.00 to 18.00 with a frequency of 1 time per hour and with a break from 12.00 to 15.00. You need to walk to the beach for about 20 minutes. At the end of October, this is not a problem: the sun does not bake. We walked several times. The child joyfully ran with us from the mountain: to the sea and courageously crawled back up: to the hotel. In general, a combination of muddy water, prickly algae and an unpleasant smell, as well as the transport accessibility of the hotel's beach, which is decreasing every day, forced us to drive to Cleopatra Beach. This is a magical place: the water is clear and, when dried, does not tighten the skin, the algae are soft and hypoallergenic (do not prick, do not cause irritation), the entrance to the sea - from sandy (near the mountain) - smoothly passes to pebble and rocky, buoys are far away. The beauty!
To sum up: I will not go to this hotel again. Never. Of course, in May-September, the food in the restaurant is much more varied. And the bus to the beach goes more often. And the animators are active. And you can teach the staff to put the powder in the dishwasher. And you can replace the girls at the reception. In general, everything can be fixed. Besides the beach. And the beach plays a major role for me, as I choose Turkey for a beach holiday. I can relax in a 2 * hotel, buy fruit at the market, and ice cream and juice - on the street, I can sleep for two weeks on permanent bed linen, but the beach should be within five to ten minutes of accessibility (it doesn’t matter, on foot or by bus, as long as the bus went according to the declared schedule), the sea should be clear, and the buoys should be far away.
