My wife and I rested in this hotel from 9 to 17 September. We got to Ruby by accident. My wife wanted to get into the nearby Yalihan 4 *, in which we rested in September last year, but he was on the foot until October. Therefore, they took Ruby building A, because they wanted to be on the first line. So, everything is in order. Tez tour operator. We flew from Kyiv by Windrose company. I must say right away that both the planes and the service on board are absolutely disgusting. It seems that the crew and flight attendants who work on their ancient planes are some kind of zombies who are no longer afraid of anything, so if possible, try to avoid their charters. As for the staff and operation of Tez Tour in Turkey, they left a very good impression, unlike Pegasus, which we had problems with last year (see review on Yalihan). It took about 2 hours from the airport to the hotel, and the driver drove very carefully, never exceeding the speed limit of 70 km.
per hour) I am writing this in connection with a recent bus accident on the same section of the route. A very pleasant guide Olga gave us a lot of interesting and useful information, although we are not in Turkey for the first time. We arrived at the hotel at 11.30, but the room was received only at 14.00, for which I was prepared in advance. We left our things in the storage room, received bracelets, changed clothes, ate at the snack bar and went to the beach. At 14.00 we received a number in the so-called. children's building on the first floor of building A. Other vacationers complained about attempts to relocate them to other hotels due to lack of space and that they had to share a large room with other families for a couple of days. The transition between blocks A and B is very beautiful. We did not pay extra for changing the room, as we immediately liked it. Although the furniture there is a little old (as in the whole block A), we did not notice any musty smell (which we wrote about in other posts).
The room looked out directly onto a green garden with palm trees, flowers and climbing plants that protected the room from the sun at any time of the day, which was very important in light of the almost complete lack of air conditioning. Perhaps this is the main drawback of this hotel. Air conditioning is centralized and turns on according to an absolutely insane schedule - from 17.00 to 20.00 and from 23.00 to 03.00! At three in the morning you wake up from stuffiness, and as soon as you open the door, disgustingly buzzing small mosquitoes burst into the room, which bite as painfully as our big ones. Having last year's experience, we took a fumigator with us, which I advise others. Now about the good, which was much more. All posts mention an excellent sandy beach and clean, clear water, which is absolutely true. During our stay, the air temperature was 32-24 degrees, and the water 28-29.

The beach in Ruby (however, like the nearby hotels) is very convenient for people who do not swim well, and for children. There were no problems with sunbeds and mattresses. Towels are also free, but you have to pay a deposit. The safe costs $1 per day, plus a $5 key deposit. The room is cleaned every day, towels and linen are also changed daily. Drinking water (1.5 liters) was also brought every day, even though we saw the unfinished water of the previous day. We left a dollar for the cleaners every day.
The food at the hotel is very plentiful and varied (compared to Yalihan), of course, taking into account the peculiarities of Turkish cuisine. In addition to the standard breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant, a snack bar with a very large selection is open from 11 to 17, sweets are served at 17.00, and from 11.00 to 16.00 a Turkish woman makes delicious triangles with potatoes, cheese and spinach. In the evening, the grill is open on the outdoor terrace. Every day fish (local varieties), chicken, turkey.
Ice cream was served several times. Alcohol can be obtained from 10.00 to 24.00 in the snack bar, and from 24.00 to 02.00 in the disco bar. By the way, the quality of all alcohol (except Turkish whiskey) is quite good (besides Ephesus, Becks is also served from beer), so complaints about bad Turkish drinks are most likely caused by their immoderate and joint consumption. The hotel staff is very friendly - there is no language problem. Most of the hotel staff speaks Russian and German. The hotel was mostly Germans, but there were also Russians (the ratio was about 70 to 30). Attitude towards Russian speakers is normal.
The animation is very good - there is something to do for both adults and children from morning until late at night. Boccia, volleyball, darts, aerobics on the beach, games for children, performances, disco (Turkish pop), you can’t even remember everything. I remember with pleasure the girls from Russia Indira, Uliana, Ukrainian Anya, Barysh and Gyumze from Turkey. There is also free bowling and table tennis.
Free Wi-fi is available only on the terrace near the snack bar (block A), it does not reach the rooms, unlike last year in Yalikhan.

Massages and hamams in Ruby are very expensive, so it’s better to go to neighboring hotels - there these procedures are almost 3 times cheaper. I also advise you to go to the village for shopping, the shops there are open until 24.00. The food market is open near the mosque on Wednesdays - they bought very tasty honey for $ 5 per kg. and figs at $3 per kg. It is advisable to have both dollars and euros with you. Very often they asked for prices in euros, but they gave them for the same price in dollars.
We did not go on excursions, because we wanted to enjoy the excellent weather before the long winter. I would also like to note the good and unobtrusive work of Tez Tour (guide at Anna Hotel). As a conclusion, I can say that we really liked the hotel, despite the fact that it certainly does not pull 5 stars by European standards. After a holiday in Rubi, I don’t want to go to Yalikhan anymore.
It is difficult to plan anything in our turbulent times, but at the first opportunity we will try to come there again. Sorry for the very long post, I wanted to talk about everything in fresh footsteps. If you have any questions about the hotel, please write or contact me via skype.
