The Happy Elegant Hotel is something. In terms of its level, it does not correspond not only to the declared 5 stars, but, in my deepest conviction, even to the 3rd. We have not been to Turkey for 10 years, recently we have been vacationing in Europe and Asia, in hotels from 5 to 3 stars, but such a service (or rather, its absence) was not provided to us anywhere.
The hotel is fairly new. On this, perhaps, its advantages end.
We got to Happy Elegant through the Fortune system. Spontaneously gathered to rest for the June holidays, there were simply no other proposals. From Antalya Airport, the Sunrise Tour tourist bus took us to the hotel for more than 3 hours. After arrival, we had to wait for check-in for about 2 hours, despite the fact that check-in at the hotel was at 14.00, and we arrived later. The reason is that the rooms were not ready. At the reception, of course, we were not informed of this, but when we did get into the room, the floors and bed linen (! ) Were wet.

The receptionist informed us about the rules for changing bed linen and towels at the Happy Elegant Hotel - once every three days. Looking ahead, I’ll say that in 7 days we had one (! ) Time, after our urgent requests, towels were changed. The linen was never changed.
Also, the receptionist warned us to press the "Please make up this room" button when we needed room cleaning. Despite the fact that this button was pressed all the time, in 7 days the room was cleaned twice, the first time two days after our arrival, after our complaint to the reception. Moreover, having “cleaned” our room, the cleaning lady forgot to take out the garbage, which had been standing for the 3rd day, and we again had to contact the reception.
In general, the cleaners in this hotel are some kind of special caste. The working day for these women ends at 17.00. They are removed slowly, discussing with each other their pressing matters. The rooms are cleaned in some order they know only.
The reception staff, in response to a complaint, smile sweetly, draw something with a pencil in a notebook, but are in no hurry to solve the problem, apparently in the hope that it will resolve itself.
Beach towels in Happy Elegant are paid. A $10 security deposit is required per towel (refundable upon departure) and a $3 usage fee per towel. When changing towels - again 3 bucks.
There is no Wi-Fi advertised on the hotel website. That is, it is not in the rooms at all, it is downstairs in the lobby, slow, constantly interrupted, and in general, you need to know the places where it catches.
The lobby bar is a separate issue. Tables are not wiped for several days. The bartender mops the floor in front of the bar, immediately after that, without washing his hands, he mixes a cocktail. Behind him, everything is thrown with some kind of dirty rags. Brrr….
The hotel is located in an area where there are mostly apartments. The territory of Happy Elegant is very small, like in European hotels, which is not typical for Turkey.

Happy Elegant stands on a busy road that separates the hotel from the sea. Accordingly, the rooms are quite noisy if you do not close the balcony door. You can get to the beach through a tunnel. In principle, this is not a problem, the problem is the beach itself. Umbrellas and deck chairs - old and shabby, make a somewhat depressing impression. The beach is some gray sand and rocks. You can normally enter the sea only from a special structure - something like a pontoon, from which two metal ladders descend to the water, hung with clusters of Turkish children. From the shore you can go into the sea in special slippers - very large stones.
Animation in the hotel is. I can’t say anything about the quality - we are not fans of animation.
Perhaps another of the advantages of the hotel can be called the almost complete absence of cattle-Russians. In general, there are many Kazakhs, Poles, Germans in the hotel.
I can't say enough about the buffet. There is no meat. Instead of meat, they offer a terrible type and color of sausages and something like nuggets, it is not clear from what they are cooked. There is a chicken. Fish - once they gave mackerel. There was also some kind of fish, but I did not dare. There are traditionally many vegetables. For fruits (watermelon, apples, I saw a peach twice from afar) a crush. There is no ice cream. For breakfast, margarine was given instead of butter. Baking monotonous, no Turkish sweets. In principle, I eat mostly vegetables, so I didn’t particularly suffer from the poverty of the buffet. But I was struck by the recycling of products. How do you like a dish consisting of chicken pieces, french fries, meat (? ) nuggets, sausages, some vegetables, heavily flavored with spices and heavy mayonnaise sauce? Looks more like pig food to me. There were about 7-8 such dishes every lunch-dinner. As a result, the last two days we dined in Alanya.
Alanya can be reached for 2.5 lira and 20 minutes by local bus that runs past the hotel every 5 minutes. Both the reception staff and the Sunrise Tour guides are silent about this like partisans, and when asked how to get to Alanya, they offer only 1 option - a taxi for 30-40 bucks.
These are the "5 stars" in Happy Elegant.
In general, if you are an optimist in life, relax with your loved one and know how to arrange a holiday for yourself, then even Happy Elegant will not be able to spoil your vacation!
