The hotel strives for 5 *, but falls short simply because of poor organization. However, everything is in order. First, a few words about the sending agency Turtess.

Despite the fact that Turtess is a rather big company and is both a sending and receiving party, the impressions from it were negative. The reception was poor, no one escorted us to the bus at the airport, they just waved their hand in the intended direction. Upon arrival at the hotel, the girl brought to the reception and quickly faded away. As it turned out, there were no seats for us yet and we sat at the reception until half past four in the morning (6:00, with small children). All attempts to contact the host were useless. The phone of the Turtess agent responsible for the hotel was stupidly silent. The next day, the agent froze at all and said that these are all problems of the sending side and I can’t help you, there are a thousand of you here - I’m alone, but I didn’t turn off the phone. This is such an advertised service. Can help someone when choosing a travel agency.

Now about the hotel.
1. Settlement. The hotel is willing to provide compensation for problems with the settlement. For example, we agreed that there will be a free safe and the room will not be rented at 12 noon (checkout time), but when we leave for the airport at 17 o'clock.
Be careful, as accommodation problems are the fault of the hotel, not the tour operator. Together with us, the Germans who arrived at the hotel were waiting, then they accidentally found out that a family from Belarus was even settled for a day in another hotel. So problems when settling in this hotel are not uncommon.

2. Nutrition. For a 5 * hotel, the variety of food is at a normal level, everything is enough. Annoying only service (chronic shortage of dishes).
For example, in the dining room you may not find clean plates next to the buffet (they are simply not enough), to drink tea you often need to take a cup for it near one table with tea, and spoons and sugar near another (again not enough), forget about toothpicks - there are none at all, napkins on the tables only in the open area. The staff completes this picture, it seems that right now they will all fall asleep together, well, very lethargic and slow. Although, if someone goes to a 5 * hotel for the first time, then most likely he will not notice this, but for a person who is already accustomed to good service, such little things will really annoy. I myself am an unpretentious person (like all immigrants from the Soviet Union), but I was surprised to notice that this annoys me too.
Riva Club-N has two restaurants serving Italian and Chinese cuisine. You can visit any one for free once. We were in Chinese. To be honest, I left disappointed.
I don’t know what kind of chef they have there, but the food was not at all like Chinese. Judge for yourself: borsch with garlic, fried pancakes with meat, coleslaw, rice porridge and ice cream.

3. Numbers. The rooms are cozy and clean, the same in all buildings. There are no complaints. Every day cleaning. Russian channels were 2 and not the best. If there are three of you in the room, then a folding chair serves as a bed, if you are with a small child, then they will give a baby bed without any problems. As for the repair, I’ll say that our friends’ chair broke in the room, they called the repairman for a day, he came and did it, the next day it broke again. A minibar is a 1.5 liter bottle of mineral water. In the evening you can safely go to bed, there is no loud music from neighboring hotels, and the hotel disco is indoors and you can’t hear it either.

4. Beach and pools. There are two good outdoor pools and one for small children.
The water is always clean, although it gives off a little bleach, but quite a bit. There is also a decent-sized indoor pool with cool water, which is nice to take a dip after the gym, sauna or just to shake off drowsiness. There are quite enough sun loungers, but it is better to take them early in the morning (since everyone usually takes sun loungers both on the beach and by the pool), otherwise you risk staying in the sun. Shade is provided by common awnings and umbrellas. The larger pool has two water slides, 3 hydromassage spots and steps to the pool (except stairs, of course). On the beach, all the sun loungers are under a common canopy, there are trash cans next to the sunbeds, which is not available at the pools. The beach is small, 40-50 meters long. The sea is clean, at the bottom near the shore there are large stones on which you can stand. Flocks of fish swim. The beach is sand and pebble, such a gray mass. The cleanliness of the beach is not up to par, you can always see some kind of garbage, especially not happy in the morning when you see yesterday's garbage.
When there are waves on the sea, the water becomes cloudy, a lot of garbage appears near the shore, both of plant and artificial origin, even the remains of clothes were seen. The beach is located near a virgin piece of land protruding into the sea, covered with trees and stones near the water. It makes a very beautiful landscape for photographs.

5. Territory. I really liked the area of the hotel. In addition to palm trees, there are many other species of trees, many flowers and shrubs, in front of the restaurant there is a flower bed with cacti of various shapes and sizes, branches with flowers descend from the hotel buildings, there are benches for relaxing. You will not see a dried plant anywhere. Everything is surrounded by greenery and beautifully decorated. Cool playground. No dirt, everything is perfectly clean all day long. It's worth coming here just for that.
The hotel area descends quite steeply to the sea, so if it is difficult for you to climb, ask the staff to accommodate you in a building closer to the sea.

6. Animation. Animation caused the most severe disappointment. When you are invited to entertain from the outside, you really enjoy it. We enjoyed live music a couple of times (although the repertoire is old, but in the evening at a table in the open air it is imperceptible) and a breakdancing group. But when the hotel animation team gets down to business, it's a quiet horror. Suppose there are no questions about water gymnastics, stepaerobics, darts and other similar activities, since special skills are not needed here. But at least it would be possible to organize some kind of competition in the hotel or something else to lure people, and not smoke and loiter around the territory. I was in June of this year at the Insula Hotel, also not far from Alanya, so a group of animators from Georgia works there and works just fine.
All day there are some contests and competitions, there are days entirely devoted to some events (Olympiad in the hotel, the election of Miss Hotel, etc. ). And the evening animation is just super (there were dances of the peoples of the world, and funny scenes (really funny), incendiary discos. The guys just splash with energy and drive. And after this you get to the sleeping animators from riva club-n. From their evening performances, the people felled crowds, their events were so poorly thought out, and the evening of humor surpassed Petrosyan himself many times over.
Young people have nowhere to have fun. The hotel disco is not crowded. You can go to the village to a nightclub.
Children's animation during the day can also do nothing: children draw, make crafts, watch cartoons, etc. , though I have never seen collective games in the open air.
Those who have been to Turkey know what a mini disco (evening disco for children) is and how children adore it.

Now imagine children in a closed room, with music that almost tears eardrums, the hoarse and scary voice of an animator girl with terribly clumsy plasticity overlaps the music - this is a kind of children's disco. I can confirm my words by the fact that the 5-year-old son of my friend at the mini-disco at the Insula hotel literally prayed for the animators and, after returning from vacation, danced and sang songs from the disco for another week. And here I really waited for it to start, buzzed all my ears, and then went once, went two or more about the disco and did not remember.

7. Shopping. In the evening, there is almost nowhere to go. The hotel is located in the village of Okudzhalar, but the village itself is not visible. There is only a network of identical buildings located along the highway (about 8 in length and 4 in depth), in which shops and excursion agencies are located. This is something like a center. No boulevards, alleys, places for recreation.
The assortment is mostly of the same type, souvenirs are cheaper in shops on the outskirts. To buy something worthwhile, you need to go to Alanya (shopping tours are offered there both by the agencies from which you came, and local ones).

8. Excursions. It's no secret that hotel guides offer tours that are always more expensive than local ones, although you can't guess where to get them in terms of quality. In Turkey, I have been on many excursions both from hotel guides and from local agencies, and I can’t say who they are of better quality. There were mistakes here and there, but serious troubles never happened. So do not believe the hotel guides when they say that they are more expensive but better. In general, the Turks are very fond of embellishing and painting with bright colors. It would be better if you take an interest in the reviews of those who have already visited in advance, so as not to be disappointed, expecting something like an awesome drive or meeting with dolphins, most often this will not happen.
Here we went on rafting, quad safari and went to the bathhouse.

8.1. Rafting. The ride is 2.5-3 hours long. The people there are innumerable. First, you need to stand in line to take a picture at the waterfall (from 1.2 meters high) and walk like a crowd on the water and on a high bike. That's all, and then the rafting itself is filmed, at the end they will sell you a disc (somewhere around 30 bucks. The rafting itself takes quite a lot of time, but most of you will have to work with oars. The complexity of the route is very low. There is almost no adrenaline. it's scary to take a 2-seat boat, it's much more fun. Cameras and cameras are asked to be left on the bus. But if you have a waterproof case or don't be afraid to soak (wrap it in cellophane), then be sure to take it.
8.2. I liked it very much on quad bikes. Went 2 times. The tour takes 2.5 hours. The route is not difficult, but very cool. Enjoyed a lot more rafting. In the end, you will all be dust.
The track is about 15 km long, everyone goes in a column, the area is spongy / forest, they don’t drive on water (except for one puddle where they take pictures of you). Be sure to bring water with you.
8.3. Bath. They took me to the bathhouse, I don’t remember the name, but it looks like a fortress from the outside (2 towers on the sides and a wall with battlements). The infrastructure is very good, everything is there, even the pools inside and outside, but the procedures were waiting for a very long time and the massage is done just for show. I don't recommend going there. Look for some small one, so that there are no more than 10 people in the whole bathhouse at the same time and good impressions are guaranteed to you.

That's like all. Decide for yourself to enjoy the beautiful view, but the average service or look for something else. Personally, I still have a little more positive : )
