Hi all! I will try to be as objective as possible when evaluating this hotel. I will write long, tedious and detailed : )))
So why did my husband and I choose this particular hotel? On the website of the tour operator Anex-tour it is indicated that the hotel is new!!! ! 2010. This was the main selection criterion. Another priority was the proximity to the beach and the free sunbeds. Next, I'll tell you about everything in order.
ACCOMMODATION
We arrived at the hotel around 9 pm (just in time for dinner, thank God). With all this, 2 more people should arrive at night, who will be hooked up with us for one night : ) Of course, we were a little upset, but we were not at a loss and quickly "privatized" a room in this room with air conditioning, there was no air conditioner in the adjacent room, but there was a telly and a balcony overlooking the sea, but in fact it was not important to us. Later, 2 neighbors arrived and everything turned out to be much better than we expected - no one interfered with anyone, and the next day after dinner they were moved to another room, and we stayed together in this room for one more day. On the third day we moved to a 3-bed room, though with a view of the wasteland and other hotels. In general, the surprise with the accommodation is certainly unpleasant, but not fatal. All OK.
The hotel is not a fig is new, as it is written on the sites. Maybe it was commissioned in 2010, but the building is clearly not new. It may have been a cosmetic overhaul. Of the pluses - large rooms, good furniture, of the minuses - old doors (in the first room the front door was difficult to open and close, bad locks), oldish plumbing, shabby toilet seats, plastic furniture on the balcony terribly gray from stubborn dirt. Here are the pies. For us, it's basically a trifle. But the "newness" of the hotel was the butt of our jokes throughout the holiday : )
LOCATION OF THE HOTEL
Cozy place, beautiful promenade, lots of greenery. Near the pedestrian street with shops and restaurants. There are places to go for a walk in the evening. There are even free exercise machines on the waterfront. 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel (towards the center) begins the area of expensive hotels, there is a square with a very beautiful fountain)
STAFF
The staff is very polite, friendly, without strained smiles. The only negative is that almost no one understands Russian. Learn English or German. Or Turkish, even better. : ) In principle, you can do without it, it's real to find a common language. I specially sent my husband alone to change the number (he does not speak foreign languages), he coped without problems.
They pick up badly. They just wash the floors and lay out the towels. The mirror and the shelf in the toilet were never wiped. Bed and towels were not changed.
BEACH
Here is a different story. Biggest downside to this hotel! I would say just a shame. The beach is public, but the hotel has its own section. Sunbeds, mattresses and umbrellas are free, but everything is very old, half of the umbrellas do not work. The beach itself is very dirty, just a pigsty - empty bottles, papers, cigarette butts, someone's socks, once even found children's underpants : ) Tin. In Samara, the city beaches are much cleaner.
On the plus side, an employee of the hotel is almost constantly on duty on the beach, who helps vacationers put umbrellas, turn sunbeds towards the sun and chases people from other hotels who are trying to take our sunbeds. The locals do not become impudent, they sunbathe on the sand and do not interfere with anyone. At any time of the day there were free sunbeds, even most of them, despite the fact that there are only 30 of them.
The entrance to the sea is good - first small pebbles, then sand. We swam in front of the neighboring hotel. The bottom is better. Opposite ours, periodically come across stones that you stumble upon. In such areas it can also be covered with a wave. The sea is restless, always waves, apparently the specifics of this area. Few swim far, although the depth is calmer and cleaner. In general, the sea is very clean, but when there are strong waves, all sorts of bad things often nail to the shore - algae, dry leaves, so the water in the "paddling pool" is often dirty
Another disadvantage is that you need to cross the road to the beach, there is no underground passage, cars move at high speed, no one lets you through. The busiest traffic is in the evening and at night. In the morning and afternoon the road is relatively free.
SWIMMING POOL
The pool is very clean but small. There is a children's section fenced off with a fence. Next to the locker room, toilets, showers. Most of the time it is impossible to swim in the pool because of the Germans who stick out there from morning to evening, and even with air mattresses. Children throw balls, trying to hit you in the head. They don’t go to the sea at all, apparently in Germany with pools it’s stressful : ))) There are free sun loungers only in the morning (until 9-10 o’clock) and in the evening (from 5-6 o’clock)
By the way, no one paid attention to the noise and jumps, as they complain in previous reviews. Noise yourself, please, as much as you like : )
RESTAURANT
Meals 7 times a day! I have not seen this even in good 4-star hotels where I have rested before. Everything is very delicious. Large selection of fruits - melons, watermelons, apples, plums, oranges, grapes. Everything is ripe. Lots of meat (both beef and chicken) and vegetable dishes. We gave fish several times. From appetizers and desserts, I'm not particularly enthusiastic - for an amateur, it used to be better. Very good breakfast - there are always hot dishes. I was pleasantly surprised by the local wine (what I tried in other hotels is frankly disgusting). From drinks, good coffee, tea in bags of several types - black, herbal (chamomile, sage, linden), fruit (hibiscus with flavors) and black, very tasty cocoa, water from the cooler is delicious, drinks from dry powders are not bad, you can drink, plus cola, fanta, sprite, local beer is rather weak, but tasty.
In general, about food, I will say this: for such a small hotel, the choice of dishes is very diverse. I think more than enough. Be aware that this is 3 stars!
The restaurant itself is small. There is no covered section for 50 people, as it is written on the site, there are only tables outside under a canopy and near the pool. There is also a small terrace upstairs with tables, but for some reason they never cover it. Almost always the entrance is closed. And why, you ask, is it needed??? ? We didn’t have any problems with free places, but it’s better to come either at the beginning of the meal or at the end, because. Indeed, there may be no empty seats.
ENTERTAINMENT
Free table tennis; to play darts, I have never seen. Show programs are held 1-2 times a week. We got to the folklore Turkish program - dances of an average level, not very interesting, 6 dancers, 4 of which move very badly. In general, as they say, it will pull with beer : )
PUBLIC
There are few Russians. Mostly Turks and Germans. The Germans on vacation is a separate story. I have already spoken about these "civilized" people above. And we still blame our compatriots. Russians compared to Germans are just angels. Next time I'll make sure there are no Germans in my hotel. Turks are absolutely adequate calm people.
Rest mostly families, sometimes 4-5 people come. Lots of travelers with small children. This is not clear to me. If you are already with children (especially with little ones), then you need to go to a large hotel with animation, and not to this one. There are also young couples.
SUMMING UP
The hotel is GOOD, especially for 3 stars. I think it is much better than most hotels of this level. The biggest negative of this hotel is the dirty beach. Everything else is quite on the level. We were satisfied
