There is something to compare and I can say that the hotel is definitely good. Rested with children 1.5 and 7 years old. In this hotel, almost everyone travels with children, and sometimes with such small ones that it seems they brought them straight from the hospital to the hotel.

The area of the hotel is large and everything is well landscaped, which is great because it not only pleases the eye, but also allows you to walk in the shade of pines, palms and other trees. The territory is constantly cleaned, something is transplanted, added. In general, it is pleasant to walk. What is important when walking during the day with small children is a sufficient number of shady areas. In many hotels it is not accepted or even forbidden to install sun loungers in the shade on the lawns, in Asteria this is not a problem. A lot of parents spread blankets on the grass during the day and the kids sleep right on the street. In general, the territory is 5+.
Staff. At the Reception, the staff speaks many languages, but the main thing is a Russian speaker.
Although, due to the abundance of requests from just Russian-speaking tourists, it was easier and faster for me personally to resolve issues in English. All requests were responded to quickly and tried to help. We wanted to change rooms and they gave us 3 rooms to choose from. Although in the end we stayed in what we originally settled in (I will describe below why). The staff in the bars - which was nice did not make much difference between the Slavs and guests from Europe or Turks. Treat everyone equally. There was a surprise in the restaurant 70% were served by girls from Kyrgyzstan (if I was not mistaken) who, I asked, arrived at the hotel for an internship. Therefore, all issues were resolved very easily and quickly.

Since we arrived already in the evening, we had dinner and went to bed, because the road, however it was, was tiring. The next morning we were shown 3 more rooms, but everywhere there was this nightmarish bunk bed. As a result, we stayed in the same room ...and solved the issue very simply by wrapping the stairs to the second floor with food stretch film. All access was closed and the rest began : ) Therefore, if you have a mobile baby - be prepared! Cleaning of the room was daily, with washing the floor and bathroom as it should be. Bed linen was changed 2 times in 10 days - you can and more often in a hotel focused on families with children, but it will do : ) In general, the room was clean, even under the bed and mattresses. There are no stains on the mattresses.

Beach. Great big beach. Never had a problem with sunbeds. At any time, we found 2-3 sunbeds standing next to each other. Every morning the sand was combed and removed. What I did not like so much is the short paths to the sea. Walking 10 meters on hot sand is hard. Another 5 meters would be added and it would be perfect.
Animation. Saturated animation for every taste. And shooting from guns and bows. Various types of darts. Table tennis and big. Football. Beach volleyball (I was especially pleased). Water polo. Water aerobics and yoga ...in general, whatever you want is what you choose. At the same time, no one obsessively pulls your hand and does not yell in your ear : ) Evening animation was both amateur animators and invited professional artists. We were especially surprised by the Chinese acrobats. We are frequent guests at the circus and believe me, the spectacle was worthy of the arena! In general, it was not boring ...
Pools. There are three of them (adults).
Huge central pool with two water slides. Species pool "Odessa" on the beach. and Relax pool where children are not allowed! Here, a certain accumulation of people and a lack of sun loungers in the forefront were noticed ...but this is not for everybody. We went to the sea and not to the pool : )
Children's rest. Miniclub has a fairly large area. 2 pools and water slide. There is a mini cinema. Playstation room. Daily banana ride in the sea ($10). I will not paint, because in the title I wrote that the hotel is focused on family (read children's) recreation.
Nutrition. There is always something for the kids to eat. And mashed potatoes and soups and yogurts. Breakfasts are monotonous in essence (pancakes, scrambled eggs, omelettes, toast, etc. ) Lunches - everything is there, but on day 10 it seemed monotonous. Dinners are constantly themed. A lot of different meats, fish, a dietary table, a lot of different fruits, desserts of 20-30 types. Ice cream was made for children in horns from 10 am to 9 pm.
And in the bars there were refrigerators where it was sealed - I don’t want to take it. Juice in the restaurant was natural only orange. There were drinks in the machines. During the day the kids ran for cotton candy and popcorn.
And what I would like to write in conclusion ...when we read the reviews, someone wrote about infections there. Make it a rule to swim in the pools only in the morning (when the sea is warm). Everything is trite - any pool is cleaned by water circulation and when there are 100 people in it, no system has time to quickly filter the water. But during the night it clears up very well. And then to the sea! And also wash fruits in a restaurant...By adhering to these rules, we no longer get sick on vacation.
We rested in Asteria for the first time, but we plan to return. Recommend!
