There was a lack of objective reviews about the hotel before the trip, so we decided to write.

Having carefully studied the photographs, we knew that we were going to a hotel, where the beach is rocky and the entrance to the water is from pontoons, so we were satisfied with the sea. The water is clean, which is confirmed by a large number of sea urchins, which do not interfere, since the entrance to the water from the pontoon immediately to the depth. Take masks and snorkels with you, you will see starfish, octopuses. There is not such an abundance of marine fish as in the Red Sea, but there are much more of them and the underwater world is much more diverse than, for example, in Kemer, you just need to be observant.

They wanted to get to Bodrum, because they dreamed of being in the atmosphere of a Mediterranean town and its environs, and admiring the hilly shores strewn with white two-story houses. The goal was achieved, because Bodrum has its own special architecture and atmosphere - a fabulous place!!!
They were very pleased with the atmosphere of the city, the coves, the sea, despite some uncleanliness of the residents, staff, or maybe people vacationing there. Of course, we did not expect the lack of cleaning as such from a five-star hotel. Dirty tables in the main restaurant. Maybe the reason was a large number of vacationers, and the waiters simply did not have time. They smiled and were polite, but to tell the truth, they were in no hurry to clean the dishes and tables for the next visitors. The Lobby was also very dirty. Dirty tables, dirty dishes. The hotel is aimed at Europeans, and we were very surprised that they are satisfied with this state of affairs.
At the reception, of course, you will have to wait a couple of hours if you do not leave baksheesh to the settling clerk, but you need to communicate with the staff in English - they do not understand Russian.
We heard that they clean better in the main building, so we bought accommodation in the main building. The room was large and spacious, with a view of the sea, furniture and a bathroom, the carpet was in excellent condition, but for two weeks we had never vacuumed it. The quality of cleaning is not affected by the dollar left in the room.
I do not think that the presence of garbage refers specifically to the features of this hotel only, since garbage was found everywhere both on the sides of the road and in the city.
Towels and bedding, however, were changed constantly and without problems. And the staff at the hotel is very friendly, welcoming and unobtrusive.
The last restoration in the hotel was in 2004, so the deterioration of public places is quite noticeable - worn carpet in the corridors, dead sofas on the terraces and in the lobby lobby.
The hotel has a very good SPA center, but the prices in it, to put it mildly, are very, very biting. And in general, Bodrum is distinguished by high prices for everything, since mainly Europeans and wealthy Turks come there to rest. So get ready for it.

It is better to take euros with you, or exchange dollars for Turkish lira, of course you can also pay with dollars, but it will be more expensive.
You will have to borrow sunbeds near the main pool early, but we honestly preferred the sea. By evening, the water in the pool becomes quite dirty due to the large number of people. Yes, it's hot there. Near the sea, the heat is absolutely not felt throughout the day, since there are sheds everywhere and a fairly strong wind blows from the sea, this helps to endure the heat. In the early morning and late evening near the sea it is even a little cool. On the beach, the sunbeds are located in one line along the coast, so it doesn’t burden a large number of people relaxing around you, and they don’t speak Russian, so you relax almost alone, which is very rare for sea beaches in hotels.
The slides are really far away, but with a view of the sea, and only those who come to ride the slides really gather there. Even when the hotel is very busy, there are no crowds there.
Animation in English, decent enough. There are Russian-speaking girls in the mini-club, so you can leave your child there if necessary. Children are constantly entertained with something, but entertainment is mostly for an additional fee.
The food is quite good and quite varied, but in five-star hotels they can feed more varied and tastier. They cook all the meat to one taste, even beef, even lamb, even chicken. It seems that everything is prepared according to one recipe and without seasonings. Experiment with seasonings and sauces for a variety of flavors. Grilled chicken is generally prepared without even adding salt.

Bodrum is considered an expensive resort in Turkey, so maybe service and food in other parts of Turkey can be better for the same money.
But you should definitely go to Bodrum - there is a unique atmosphere of the Mediterranean, there is no such place in Turkey anymore.

We don't know for sure, but based on our impressions, which is based on the external inspection of other hotels and on communication with people from other hotels on excursions, it seems to us that you will find this situation with cleaning in every hotel in Bodrum.
Rest is great! the sea is great! the atmosphere is great! The only and main negative impression is the discrepancy between the price-quality ratio, but the Europeans seem to be satisfied with this. There are very few Russians and Ukrainians. There are a lot of English, Germans, Dutch and wealthy Turks in Bodrum hotels and they feel comfortable in not very neat hotels.
Before that, they were in Kemer, where there were 90% of Russian speakers. The situation with the cleanliness of the hotel and the city as a whole is completely different - it's clean there!! !
