One of the main criteria in choosing a hotel was a family, relaxing holiday (recommendations of several hotels, including this one, by a travel agent + reviews, on which the choice was based).
Rested with a child of 3.7 years. The transfer to the hotel was carried out on a Mercedes Sprinter (up to 10 people went to the hotel, so the boarding was quick, as well as let to the hotel). We arrived at 6.30 am. Until 10 o'clock we were already settled (I don’t know exactly what time it happened, since we took towels and went to the dining room at 7.00, and then to the beach).
The room (there was no balcony, but since we were with a child, perhaps this is better) is excellent, spacious with a view of the mountains and check-in to a neighboring hotel. Noise isolation of the room is excellent. There is a mini-bar in the room, in which there are 2 bottles of each name: cola, sprite, water with and without gas and beer Efes 0.33 (all this can also be taken in bars at any time), replenished every day, provided that you drink. There is also a free safe in the room. Satisfied with the performance of the air conditioner.
Hairdryer and soap accessories in the bathroom. Cleaning in the room every day (sometimes they hung a sign so as not to disturb, as it is so clean). What was missing in the room, given the rest with the child, was an additional seat on the toilet and stands, so that the child could climb onto this toilet and then wash their hands on their own. Neither a stand nor a seat was available at the hotel. At the same time, there is a pot, which was brought very soon after contacting the reception (relevant proposals were submitted to the hotel management and, I hope, will be taken into account).
Free WI-Fi throughout the hotel.
The hotel has a good gym (maybe someone will be relevant).
The hotel area is green and well-groomed with its own and clean beach, located 1-1.5 minutes walk from the building.
The food, in my opinion, was excellent: several types of meat, fish, a lot of sweets (especially in the evening).
You can also have a snack and drink in the bars on site. You are unlikely to leave hungry. The child also always had something to eat. The staff is friendly and unobtrusive (this also applies to animation).
There is a children's club for children (an indoor area with games and toys, as well as 2 trampolines, slides, swings on the street), located at the entrance to the hotel, where we spent half a day (since my daughter was 3.7, and it was possible to leave children , if I'm not mistaken from 4, then I also had to stay there for half a day)))) Perhaps for someone its location will not be very convenient, but once again you will walk around the beautiful territory of the hotel and, maybe, "burn" at least a little of what ate and drank. Since I spent a lot of time in the children's room, I had a certain opinion about the work of children's animators.
Perhaps due to the difference in the age of the children, and maybe the lack of experience of the animators, but it seems that some (not all) children's animators are not quite in their place. In my opinion, the best way to express this is the word "vyalenko". For comparison, last year we were in Akka Claros Hotel 4 and despite the fact that the level of the hotel is lower (they cannot be compared), the ability to interest children, and especially the little ones (and we were there when we were 2.7 years old) is much higher, at least for animators who were there at the time of our vacation (there were a lot of do-it-yourself crafts, making paintings with multi-colored sand, etc. ). Therefore, this area of Asteria Hotel Fantasia 5* should be improved.
The beach, as I wrote above, is clean, it is constantly cleaned and the pebbles are “combed” so that everything is smooth and beautiful. Despite the fact that on the 3rd day of our vacation, many vacationers from another hotel (some kind of forced relocation from) stopped at the hotel and there were a significant increase in people, there were always enough sun loungers.
There are pebbles on the beach, and pebbles are pebbles, so it is not necessary, but it is advisable to stock up on appropriate shoes, especially for children. Of the minuses, at the time of rest (second half of May 2019) repairs were carried out on the pier (there was a knock-geek, noise from a working grinder and a corresponding smell, it was a day or two), but I treated this as a forced measure, still a big one part of the time was, as I wrote above, in the children's room)))
Perhaps the most important disadvantage that spoils the rest, and which, I think, is inherent in many hotels, is smoking vacationers who think that only they came to rest (they smoke everywhere and often: near the sea, near the pool .... ). As a suggestion for a hotel, it would be nice to have smoking areas on site and preferably in such a way that it does not spoil the rest of the non-smoking category of vacationers who can fully enjoy the sea air.
