The MG Club Akman Beach Hotel bills itself as a 4-star hotel, but in my opinion, it deserves a 3-star rating at most.
The biggest problem is that the hotel is completely unaccessible. There's only one accessible room, and its adaptations are limited to a ramp at the entrance. Access to the beach is impossible in a wheelchair, as there are steps leading up to it with no accessible ramp.
We arrived at night, and instead of a room, they put us in the billiards room, promising to accommodate us and check us in at 8 a. m. At 8 a. m. , they told us to wait until 12:00 p. m. Then they discovered that the room they had prepared wasn't accessible at all, and the only accessible room was occupied and wouldn't be available for two days. We had to settle for a very small double room, even though there were three of us. All the rooms are old, the furniture is worn, and the condition leaves much to be desired. Two days later, they told us again that the room was still available. As a result, we were moved to a room for people with disabilities only on the third day after our arrival.
The cleaning is extremely poor, and the rooms and grounds are dirty. The food is unappealing. The beach is also dirty.
There are areas with "No Smoking" signs, but no one enforces this rule. People smoke even in prohibited areas, including on the beach, and the staff doesn't respond at all.
The reception staff constantly gave conflicting information and made promises that weren't kept.
The dining room was constantly short of tables, so we had to arrive early to secure a seat.
We frequently ran out of ice cream and alcohol, despite having paid all-inclusive.
