Majesty Mirage Park 5 * falls short of 5 stars

Written: 22 april 2010
Travel time: 13 — 20 april 2010
Rested from 13 to 20 April 2010 at Majesty Mirage Park 5 * in Kemer. 4 adults and 2 children.
WEATHER.
The weather is great, the sea is clean, but cool (~20 degrees). Nevertheless, many bathed.
According to forecasts from Moscow, the temperature was assumed to be +16, but it turned out to be +25. In addition, every day it became warmer and warmer.
HOTEL.
The hotel barely falls short of a 4 (four) star service (read below).
RECEPTION.
Good hotel accommodation is possible for 20 bucks. Without "bribes" they settle in the most terrible rooms. Even with children and with the availability of good rooms in the off-season and underloading the hotel.
The staff is inconsiderate, rude. Not all, of course, but the vast majority. Basically, they understand only screaming and scandals.

Reception - the height of arrogance and indifference to tourists. They didn’t wake up for an early excursion (at 5.30), they forgot to collect lunch boxes. As a result, the bus waited for 30 minutes until breakfast was collected for us, they collected - 1 cucumber, 1 tomato and 1 roll in each box.
In general, the hotel speaks poor Russian and does not speak English at all.
RESTAURANTS. FOOD.
The food is monotonous, scarce. We ate cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, olives. Meat and fish in the normal sense do not exist as a class. There were almost no fruits, although strawberries, cherries, watermelons, medlars, etc. were already ripe. We only had apples and oranges.
Beer and wine watered down, cocktails disgusting. We did not try the rest of the alcohol - locally produced bourda does not inspire confidence.
Turkish coffee can be drunk only in the bar in the main building, in other bars of the hotel it is difficult to call it coffee.
Of the pleasant employees, 2 employees of the main restaurant were noted: the bartender and the waiter Mustafa.
The rest tried to get rid of the visitor, snatching plates and glasses from under their noses. If you stay up until the restaurant closes, do not count on the continuation of the service. Even on the open veranda.
The declared 4 a la carte restaurants do not exist. In fact, this is one restaurant, working from Mon to Thu according to 4 schemes: Turkish, Italian, Mexican and fish cuisine. Moreover, he works from 7 to 8 pm, which is amazing from all points of view. The main restaurant is open from 7 to 10, and it's hard to imagine gatherings in a restaurant for a company for just one hour. We never got there. Registration is possible only on the next. the day is limited from 10 to 11 am, when you have excursions almost every day, it is impossible to sign up. They will say that the restaurant is full, but through the glass you can see that it is not even half full. Probably should give 20 bucks again : )
The information on the Tez-tour website and from agents in Moscow is fundamentally different from what you get on the spot. A la carte restaurant visit - only one, not four. Mini-bar, declared in unlimited quantity, on site includes a bottle of fanta, cola and 2 bottles of water. Not replenished.
HOTEL.

The condition of the hotel and rooms is 4ku, the water in the shower is either hot or cold (the contrast shower either burns or freezes).
Pick up in the middle of the day. They break in even when there are guests in the room. They scared us like a sleeping child.
Linen and towels are changed every day without reminders. There are no bathrobes or slippers in the room.
The territory is more or less well-groomed, the beach is not. A small river flows through the entire hotel, which carries garbage towards the sea. The trash is still there.
In the middle of the hotel there is an incomprehensible puddle with muddy water and heart-rendingly croaking frogs (mating season). No lilies, no water lilies, no fish were found.
There are no tall trees, except for a pine island. It turns out 2/3 of the hotel is just a clearing and rare low palm trees. It looks like a new hotel in Egypt, where the trees have not yet grown. There are flower beds with magnificent roses near the restaurant!
Spa five!
That's really pleased!! ! Service and massage are great! Nice responsive staff. All in all, we had a great time there! Prices for massages and body wraps are acceptable if you take a package of services and bargain.
Sauna, Turkish bath, indoor pool with warm water, tea, coffee, water - free. Works from 8 to 20.
BEACH.
The beach is pebbly. Not cleaned by staff. In the left half of the beach (if you stand facing the sea) bottle glass, disposable cups, plastic bottles and other garbage are lying around. I hope it's just not the season!
The water is crystal clear. You can meet sunrises - very beautiful! At dawn, the sea becomes milky white!! ! Unfortunately, there are no sunsets. . .
TOURS.

The location of the hotel is such that on all excursions you will be picked up first and brought last. So the length of the tour increases by 2-3 hours. Tez-tour hotel guides do not always provide information on departure and arrival, so check where you are being picked up from (from the entrance or gate), and allow extra time for arrival. There was an overlay with the last excursion, having received information about arrival, we paid for the procedure at the SPA for a while after the excursion, but it turned out that we should initially arrive an hour later. It was the last day of our stay, so we had to butt heads so as not to spend an extra hour transporting everyone to the hotels (14 people from our hotel and the remaining 20 for 1 or 2 people from different ones), they sent a small bus from Mirage Park and quickly took us to hotel from the turn to Kirish (everything ended well! THANKS TO VICTORIA to our guide!!! ).
On excursions at lunches and dinners, drinks are paid (even water)! They don't even give water to children. You have to buy everything, and the prices are higher than in Moscow. Take water with you from the hotel. In each excursion there are obligatory visits to useless shops, where prices are 2-3 times higher than in duty free. A wine cellar where you will be offered the so-called fruit wine (and in fact - alcohol with Zukko) for 28 euros (it is worth a visit just to try this muck) in Dutik it costs 13 euros, but you need to think if it is worth buying at all.
Sweets are also very expensive.
We were very lucky with the tour guide Avtan in Pamukkale! A stocky young Turk, studied in Moscow, knows Russian very well, expounds beautifully (many Russians don’t know how to do that - you’ll hear it !!! ), a patriot of his country, learned a lot from the history of Turkey! If you go with him, you will be very lucky!
A day trip to Pamukkale is too heavy even for an adult. They bring them for a walk in the very sun, for photography the light is generally terrible. It is more convenient to visit a two-day one - take a walk in the soft sun, see the sunset!
In contrast, the Turkish Victoria in Kekovo-Demry-Lycian Worlds got it! So distorted, neighing the whole bus (the children picked up different new unknown words) !! ! Useful information at least! But in general - a very pleasant and responsive woman in personal communication!
I really enjoyed the farel fishing! My husband and I caught 15 pieces, I caught a 1.5 kg fish, barely pulled it out, cut my hands with fishing line. Fresh immediately cooked on the grill + lamb on a spit!! ! The most delicious lunch ever!! ! They drank anise brandy and vodka. They say that you can also taste decent homemade wine there.
The funicular is said to be the longest in Europe. It is difficult to describe in words the air, the mountains, the snow, and the views!!!
DEPARTURE

Despite the volcanic dust, the flight was not delayed or cancelled. The flight was as pleasant as the rest itself. . .
