First time in Marmaris. Many acquaintances advised me to visit the western coast of Turkey because of the very beautiful views. Everything was confirmed - they were very pleased with the place: the combination of mountains, sea, bays, greenery... magnificent. And the city is pleasant, cozy. Despite the fact that it was much harder for us to get here than to the Antalya coast, we were very pleased with the choice and did not regret that we went. The air and water temperatures were about the same around 26-27 - comfortable! Want to come back again!
We chose a hotel for a long time because we initially expected a small price for "hot tours" at the end of the season. BUT . . we didn’t have time to confirm an acceptable option for us in the Grand Yazytsi Palace (next door) and chose this hotel because there was still a good discount. Maybe because we were ready for some moments here, which were warned about in the reviews, or maybe because we were lucky with the settlement . . , but as a result we did not regret with the hotel either.
We lived in the main building on the 3rd floor with a sea view and a balcony! It was a big and pleasant surprise for us, because. We traveled with the condition of accommodation at the discretion of the hotel. Two factors played here: the tour operator indicated in the note that we were newlyweds (thank you so much for this initiative - we celebrated our silver wedding this year! ) ).

There were problems with the shower cabin in the room: the faucet was faulty and after bathing, water flowed a little on the floor from under the cabin. The first problem was eliminated for us promptly (+), and the second did not work out even on the second attempt (-). As a result, the foot towel also served as a rug : ) Everything else in the room was fine.
The tour operator was Pegas Tourist. They were also satisfied with him (there was no tedious shopping during the transfer from / to the airport, they didn’t bother with excursions, they were always there at the reception, they gave a couple of good tips and once Boris, thanks to him, helped to resolve an unpleasant situation with the administration). One tip is to use your suitcase with a combination lock instead of a safe so you don't have to pay for it. And the "situation" was with friends from another hotel, who came to our beach to chat for a few minutes and drank a couple of drinks. The administration of our hotel tried to extort from me because of this the cost of a daily inclusive for 2 people (200 lire = $ 70). We agreed on 20 lira. Perhaps this was the only negative point that slightly spoiled our mood, so to speak, so that everything would not seem like raspberries. ?
There were many elderly tourists from the EU in the hotel (many of them rested here not for the first time! ). The animation is also not very good, but we were quite happy with it. It may be boring for young people, but Marmaris is very close, which is full of various entertainment venues, where life is seething perhaps all night.
Everyone liked the food. Indeed, it was always possible to find something that suited my wife and I in taste and cooking method. Alcohol is not a fountain, but let's just say - tolerable. There is always beer (bar, restaurant), in the restaurant: dry rose, white and red wine, brandy, gin vodka... Desserts pleased. We love baklava, it was always for lunch and dinner. There were also fruits, but we were especially pleased with the watermelon for lunch and dinner. I really liked the fish restaurant on the seashore (once during the rest - for free)! I also liked the work of the staff both in the kitchen and cleaning the room.

The hotel area is good, but in this place it is not so important. There is a wonderful opportunity to walk along the coast along the promenade from Marmaris to Icmeler, admiring the beautiful views, as well as hotels and their beaches, so to speak, from the inside.
Took two tours from Daisy tour (one in advance through their website and the other already on the spot). Cleopatra with the islands of the Aegean and Pamukkale. We were also satisfied: an acceptable price (much lower than that of the tour operator), good organization, but most importantly - interesting Russian-speaking guides and 90% Russian-speaking groups. Friends traveled expensively from their operator (Intourist), then the group was a national team, and I had to listen to 80% in Turkish and English.
Internet in the hotel is paid. I needed it for work, so I bought it for a week (80 lira) with a subsequent surcharge of 5 lira for each day. In a hotel and shops it is better to pay with a currency bank card - it will turn out more profitable.
In general, we were very pleased with the rest! Probably due to the fact that there was a good combination of price and quality, and also due to the fact that we were lucky with a few moments during the rest.
