The trip abroad is not the first, but the rest in Turkey was the first. I will describe the hotel itself and further (for those who are interested) tips on excursions. The choice of the hotel was an emergency, five days before the rest, a lot of reviews on 25-30 hotels were re-read. Previously, I did not know that five-star hotels are still divided into three groups - bad, average and VIP. The Alva Donna Beach Resort Comfort Hotel belongs to the middle class, according to the ultra all-inclusive food system. When choosing attracted a small number of negative reviews for this hotel. We rested from August 13 to 20.2016. I will list the advantages of this hotel according to the most common negative reviews for other hotels:
1. ". . very fatty and salty food, there is nothing to feed very young children . . " - this hotel has a diet table. Boiled lean meat, various milk porridges (there is semolina), steamed vegetables, etc. For the very young, there is a refrigerator with baby food in glass jars. For seven days, I got a little tired of the monotony of breakfasts, otherwise the food is varied and tasty, everyone can find something of their own. Main restaurant ten out of ten.
2. ". . poor wi-fi, only works near the reception. . " - Alva Donna Beach Resort Comfort has very good internet everywhere - in the room, near the pool and on the beach. The wife near the pool was able to make viber calls (but only in the evening). You can receive, send mail and correspond throughout the hotel. But there were also difficulties (the connection completely disappeared), especially in places of congestion of vacationers. In the last two or three days of our vacation, the number of vacationers increased by about 20 percent, and therefore the data transfer rate dropped. Wi-Fi - eight out of ten.

3. ". . discrimination in the color of the bracelet between vacationers from Germany and our compatriots . . " - there are no bracelets in this hotel. Upon check-in, we were given two cards for the room and three cards for getting towels. There are many Germans, Turks living in Germany and other European countries, a few Arabs (most likely Arabs, because there were women who bathed dressed from head to toe, although Turkey itself is a Muslim country, not the point). Some of the animators and attendants do not know Russian, and they know little English, although everyone knows German very well. This was a plus in terms of cultural recreation (without drunken Tagil), but by the end of the vacation, there was still a slight feeling of the superiority of any inhabitant of the Eurozone over immigrants from the post-Soviet space. Service nine out of ten.
In general, the hotel is clean, although not new. According to the information, the restoration was in 2014. I, as a builder, noticed minor defects, but there were few of them, the repair could have been a little better. Interior rating 9 out of 10. Another advantage of the ultra all inclusive system is a free safe and mini bar (beer, cola, fanta, mineral water - replenished every day, without hanging a sign on the door), cleaning and fresh towels in the room every day, without any tips. Good pools, there are three water slides. My daughter could not be pulled out of the water. I rode a little myself. The beach is also not bad, minus large stones in the water. You can not weakly hit during strong waves. Saved by the pier, which goes into the sea for about thirty meters, which has steps for descending into the water.
I liked everything very much, except for the greed of the guides of the company "JoinUp". A constant reminder ". . don't forget to tip the driver. " Every time, no matter where you are taken, whether it is an airport-hotel-airport transfer or an excursion.
I can especially recommend this hotel to people who are traveling to Turkey for the first time, although there are many fives with a price of 15-20 percent cheaper. Here everyone decides for himself.
And not least important - there is a large bazaar near the hotel, where everything can be bought at a normal price - the price is several times lower than in the shops that the guide “sells”.
Now a little about excursions.

ATTENTION! For hotels that are located in the Side area, the guide named AMAR is responsible (there is nothing similar to this name on the badge). This is a "vaparator" of excursions. Rude, greedy, and rude. My friends rested in Side in May 2016 and also met with him, and completely share my opinion about him. If you rest for 7 days, do not take more than one excursion (especially those for the whole day), and specify (up to writing everything that is included on the back of the check). And it's nice to communicate with guides without children. They show beautiful photos, describe them so colorfully, the children's eyes immediately burn.
1. EXPO 2016 - we went only for the sake of the child, I really wanted to. Before that, I read a lot of negative reviews about this exhibition. They brought you, gave you a map and go yourself. There is a language barrier. The attractions promised at the exhibition were not found. The dinner that was included in the program (left the hotel at 16-00, returned at 22-30) reminded the canteen, they gave out everything in portions and not tasty. Let me remind you that I have an ultra all-inclusive power system. The child liked it, especially the tower, but not worth the money spent. I will not recommend to friends.
2. Demre. The Lycian city of Myra and the Church of St. Nicholas.
In general, I really liked the tour itself, a little tiring (departure from the hotel at 03.40 in the morning, returned at 20.35). About the Lycian city of the World and the Church of St. Nicholas is interesting to hear, even more interesting to see. There was also a boat trip and swimming in the bay. Very beautiful places. Factory for the production of products from Onyx, and wine tasting (I will write about the "steaming" of products below).
Now the cons:
- advertised a well-speaking Russian guide named Ziya Egemen. He speaks well, but with a strong accent. You constantly strain your ears.
- Guide AMAR assured that lunch and dinner are included in the price of the tour. Lunch was not very, one might say bad. Hard cheating about dinner, he just wasn't there. In our hotel, the main restaurant closes at 21-00. We were lucky that our hotel was not the last one along the route of the bus and we managed to eat normally and feed the child. I somehow did not want to eat sandwiches in the hotel round-the-clock BISTRO.

- Icon shop. Space prices. A pendant is $45-50, an icon 2.5cm by 5cm is $80-100. One of the millions or billions of examples of pumping money through faith. The Catholic Church began selling indulgences for money as early as the 13th-14th centuries. Be persistent and do not enter into beautiful words.
- Factory of products from "Onyx". Prices are space again. Near our hotel Alva Donna Beach Resort Comfort there is a beautiful bazaar. Prices are 3-5 times less. The products are the same. The Onyx stone is cheap and it makes no sense to fake it (information on the stone can be found on the Internet). I learned 20 phrases and numbers up to 100 in Turkish and bargained well with the locals. They liked it. According to them, guides receive kickbacks from 25 to 35 percent of everything that a tourist buys.
- Wine tasting is also a show for divorce. A colorful story for suckers. They gave us two types of fruit and berry wine to try. Yes, delicious. The price per bottle is $24. At the airport in DutyFree such wine for 13 Euros. Count yourself.
Fortunately, we had the strength not to buy anything. Do not be afraid to look greedy against the background of those who buy it all on the tour. The feeling that they were "scammed" they will appear later.
There is only one conclusion - do not rush to give your hard-earned money. Yes, it's their job to sell money, but you keep your head in the cold, and put the money away.
