I visited this hotel from June 7 to June 16.2012. After reading the reviews here, I expected horror even in comparison with last year's Eldar Resort 4 * which, oddly enough, has a much higher rating here. Therefore, for the sake of objectivity, I will periodically compare these two hotels, especially since their price at the time of my purchase of tickets was almost identical, but Eldar's rating is almost a point higher.

We arrived at the hotel around 13:00, handed over the vouchers at the reception, left our suitcases and went to dinner while waiting for accommodation. We enter the restaurant in anticipation of a terrible crowd, leftover leftovers and queues so colorfully described here and see a half-empty restaurant with a large assortment of varied food. The tables are clean and tidy and all the dishes are clean too. The waiters rustle between the tables constantly cleaning. I immediately went and tasted beer and wine, which some here did not call anything other than sourness and slop.

Beer, like beer, is an ordinary light hilt of 4.5 degrees and nothing to expect from it with the effect of Baltika 9 and similar water substitutes. Bottled wine is not even bad in comparison with the same last year's Eldar.

After dinner, we returned to the reception and received the keys, accompanied by a porter, went to our room. The room turned out to be overlooking the road, and on the floor below, right under the windows, there are air conditioners. But we didn’t come to live on the balcony, we didn’t change the number, especially when the door to the balcony was closed, the noise was not heard at all, and it’s better for me to let the air conditioner under the window than a humming stage with animation and booming speakers. The room is practically a twin of the 4-star Eldar, it does not differ in size or content from it, only the safe in Eldar was free, but here it costs $ 3 per day.
A little later, another drawback was discovered in the room, a leaking bath, which was reported to the reception, but it seems that no one was going to fix this problem.

We changed and went straight to the beach. The road to the beach is about 5 minutes at a leisurely pace. There is no view on the sides, a green grid covering something incomprehensible, either greenhouses, or the dwellings of guest workers, or their workshops, but rather all of the above combined. Right in front of the beach there is a bridge with a river in which fish and turtles simply teem. The river itself is quite dirty, but strangely enough, this does not affect the number of living creatures. The beach is great, big, clean, with lots of sun loungers and large awnings. Moreover, the canopies are translucent and you can sunbathe under them, just the degree of solar radiation you will receive 2 times less.

At the entrance to the beach there are toilets, 2 showers, 2 taps for washing feet, there is also a gazebo where cakes are prepared and right behind it is a bar on the beach. The bar is pretty good, and as I understand it, it is precisely its assortment that determines the spaciousness in the central restaurant during lunch. It really doesn’t make much sense to go to the hotel for lunch, it’s quite possible to have a bite to eat in it. The bar always had French fries, hamburgers, stuffed peppers and eggplants, noodles, rice, fresh salads and various "chicken". In the same place from 16 to 17 handed out ice cream.

Directly behind the bar on the right side there are playgrounds for mini football and volleyball, on the left there is a playground with slides. Football and volleyball are held 2 times a day at 11 and 16 hours. There is enough space around the playgrounds so that the players do not create any inconvenience to other vacationers. Further behind the platforms there are rows of 7-8 canopies with sun loungers and 4 more fresh water showers.

The beach itself is huge, clean and sandy.
. The entrance to the sea is gentle, reminiscent of the Sea of u200bu200bAzov, the descent is 15-20 meters long. The sea is clear and you can see the bottom of the buoys. Only one day on the 15th of June, garbage was brought into the sea from somewhere, not only our hotel was damaged, but also all the neighboring ones. I walked along the shore for almost a kilometer more and garbage near the shore was floating everywhere. That this was so remained a mystery to me, because in the previous 8 days I did not see any traces of dirt or debris in the sea.

After staying at sea until the evening we went for dinner. And at dinner the restaurant is really full. Of course, you can find a free table, but for this you really have to look for it. I have never seen any problems with the main dishes, they were always in sufficient quantity and assortment. It is pointless to list all of them, especially since they also changed regularly. I’ll tell meat lovers that finding chicken, lamb or beef was no problem. There was also fish every day.

The only place where the queues were long people at 15-20 is the grill and shawarma, but they move briskly and had to stand in them for a maximum of 5-10 minutes. And literally an hour and a half after the start of dinner, the dishes remained the same, and there were no longer queues for the grill at all, and if you didn’t rush to the opening, you could have dinner a little later without any hassle. By and large, the hotel itself is to blame for the excitement for the opening of dinner with its catering. The fact is that from 17 to 19 hours there is absolutely nowhere to have a bite to eat on the territory of the hotel. The bar on the beach at this time actually closes and only booze remains in it. The pool bar also offers nothing but drinks at this time. Why everything is organized this way is a mystery. The weather allows you to be on the beach or by the pool until 7-8 pm, and if people had the opportunity to eat there, they would do it.
Well, at least the beach is not closed in the evening and no one bothers to walk on it even after sunset. Another surprise is the organization of the pool bar. With its rather impressive area, the number of bartenders in it is clearly not enough as a result of a constant queue for drinks. The bar itself is huge and the number of bartenders in it at least needs to be doubled, or even tripled, and the bar area allows them to sit there without any problems.

Now a little about the territory of the hotel, as many have written, there is practically none, or rather, almost all of it is occupied by a huge pool. The pool is generally good, the only thing I would like it to be deeper, but here it is. You need to be careful when you get out of it, because there are very small places where you can inadvertently swim on which you can get hurt by hitting the steps, which are not always clearly visible in the monochromatic coloring of the pool.
The same remark applies to the pool near the slides, flying out of the fast slides you can easily fly into the bottom of the pool hitting hard, the depth of the pool at the splashdown point is insufficient (this remark is for adults, nothing threatens children there, their weight does not allow you to gain more speed). The slides themselves are good and no water park with such slides is needed. That's what is missing by the pool is sun loungers, at 9-10 o'clock to find a free sun lounger is already a great success. The stupid habit of vacationers not to rest, but to occupy here is manifested in all its glory. With a percentage of 30 sun loungers actually occupied, the rest, thrown with things and towels, are empty all day long. As I understand it, the only way to deal with this is to increase their number, because only constantly empty sun loungers can wean people from booking them at 7 in the morning. Another big shortage at the pool are umbrellas.

Good reliable high-quality umbrellas, not like in the same Eldar, but why there are so few of them is absolutely not clear. If in Eldar they could be put at least for each sun lounger, then here 1 umbrella falls on 8-10 sun loungers.

We were not particularly interested in evening animation, we only lingered on it once, but it was classic Turkish and, having found nothing new, we went for a walk around the area.

I didn’t notice any special attitude towards the Germans, the hotel is generally quite popular with Europeans, and if by the time I checked in Russian speakers there were half of the visitors, then closer to the departure of Poles, Czechs and Germans, the percentage of Russian speakers dropped to 30 percent. The truth is all the same for me it is a mystery why, with such a massive number of Russian-speaking visitors, there are no Russian-speaking hotel workers at the reception. They normally speak German, English, but not Russian.
Whoever has difficulties with these languages, contact the table to the left of the reception, where the girls will always help you and translate, or a little higher up the stairs to the representatives of the Pegasus or the Teztur who will also come to your aid.

I do not recommend this hotel to young people - you will be bored, or you will have to go to discos outside the hotel, or gather yourself a bigger company right away, because you have every chance of being alone at a disco in a hotel. The hotel is more for families with children aged 4-5 years and older. For older children, there will generally be expanse, a huge pool and excellent slides will not let them get bored.

Cleaning in the rooms leaves much to be desired, the most they did was vacuuming and wiping the floor near the leaky bathroom. And that was done superficially. The declared change of linen 3 times a week in reality resulted in 2 shifts in 9 days. The first is upon arrival, the second is 6 days later.

Wi-Fi signal is very weak almost throughout the hotel, in the best places by the pool, the signal level reached 2 bars out of 5. Internet speed also leaves much to be desired, but at times people managed to chat on Skype without brakes. Appeared in the room sporadically with a minimal signal. There is no signal on the beach.

The gym is good. Good treadmills, barbells and exercise equipment, but it is clear that it is already battered by visitors. Someone even broke the horizontal bar.

The TV has 46 channels. On the second channel, a video review of the hotel, the rest are German, Polish, Turkish, Russian and one Ukrainian. Of the Russians - the first, NTV, STS and musical. From Ukrainian - the fifth.

We visited the Turkish A la carte restaurant - beautiful surroundings, good tasty dishes, but the service ruined everything. Waiting for the main course for more than an hour is not climbing into any gates.
And this despite the fact that they do not cook individually, the dishes are the same for all visitors and bring them to everyone almost at the same time, all visitors by appointment by a certain time. At the same time, we arrived at 19.15 and received the main course at 20.45.

In general, the impression of the hotel is at least no worse than that of the brand new Eldar, and in many respects it is better, so when choosing a hotel according to the ratings on this site, make an adjustment for these incidents in their ratings. It is quite possible that if the hotel had not 5 stars, but 4 people would have rated it much higher and would have forgiven him many shortcomings. But then again, Eldar this year costs at least the same, if not a little more than Grand Pearl, and also has a rating on this site almost a point higher, while I would rate the current hotel at a higher level.
