The price for May and September is slightly lower than for the summer months.

On account of food. Enough to eat, you won't leave hungry. But for 3 days in a row, only chicken was meat. Since we were with a child, I began to turn to the manager of the dining room, asking for other meat, veal. The following days they began to give veal. From drinks - juices from cans, compote from smoked dried fruits. I didn’t give one or the other to a one-year-old child, I asked for an ordinary compote, at least from apples. Didn't beg. There are probably no apples in Genichesk in September))). Instant coffee in bags was dismantled, not enough. Never had any fruit or berries. Also not sure why? After all, in September, so much has ripened, inexpensively. Fish - only boiled mackerel, terrible in my opinion. They explained to my questions that the price of a vacation in September is lower, so the food is worse. And they explained that good nutrition from June 1 to August 31. There is no mention of this on the site.
There is not a word about the lack of animation on the site either.
We took a 2-room suite in a 2-story building. More or less neat.
Sun loungers in September were paid, a place under an umbrella is free. To take payment for sun loungers and an umbrella is a shame for such a hotel. Expect that for 1 person per day + 30 UAH. for that.
It was still boring in the long September evenings. I don’t remember what date, but the bar stopped working and then there was nowhere to go at all.
For the rest, I liked everything. The area is super, the sea too. It looks like Turkey, not 5 or 4 stars for sure, but anyway for Ukraine this is already an achievement.
Now from May 1.2014 they promise a heated pool up to 25 degrees. It’s a pity there are no reviews, is the pool really open and is there enough space for vacationers.
There is also a big plus - not far from the hotel there is a salt lake and a hot spring. You can also get there on foot. Everything was free in September, but the lake is cold.
In general, my advice is this, if you are going to rest in the "Express", call and clarify the points you are interested in. Because there is a lot on the site.
