After reading advertisements about the III International Festival "Kyivska Park" - the longest in the world and the largest in the CIS and Europe, we went to its opening.
Kyivska Rus Park is located 34 km from Kyiv in the village of Kopachiv, Obukhiv District, Kyiv Region. You can get there by minibus from the metro Vydubychi, which we did. And here we are on the spot and in front of us opens an area of .10 hectares, surrounded by a defensive fortress wall - 10-12 meters high, 1.5 thousand meters long. There are also defensive ditches. It takes your breath away! Before us is the Child of Ancient Kyiv, which was created by Volodymyr Khrestitel in the 10th century and founded our state.
We spent a wonderful day all day. The organizers kept their word and showed the whole festival program.
We saw the presentation of the festivals "Epics of Ancient Kiev IX-XI centuries", the festival of stuntmen "Kievan Rus", the festival "Kievan Rus XIII century", "Guests of ancient Kiev XV century", equestrian stunt show "Prince's Cavalry", the presentation of the national holiday Yaryl Day ”, masquerade festival“ Kyiv Fibula ”, show of ethnic fashion and historical costume, etc.
On the territory of Dytynets we shot from a bow, took part in pillow fights, watched theatrical mini-performances, visited the fair (sellers also in costumes), shot from a catapult. There were master classes on artistic forging, etc. for those who wished.
The festival will take place from April 24 to October 17. The program is impressive. These are the heroic battles of the XI, XII and XV centuries. , knights 'tournaments, Kyiv Day, Yaril Day, Honey Savior, stunt festival, meeting of "Indian summer", archers' tournament and other entertainment events.
And on Saturday and Sunday in the park promise a rich entertainment program.
But evening is coming. Let's sum up. We were inspired by fresh air, took part in the festival, studied the history of Kievan Rus. We conclude that it is more interesting and useful than walking around Khreshchatyk and drinking beer. The conclusion is clear: we will come! ! ! ! ! ! !
