The fact that I like to travel on weekends is already known. Don't just sit at home. And don't just lie at home. It's better to have a backpack on your back and on the train. Thankfully they haven't been canceled yet. But this weekend, my friends and I traveled near Kyiv in a slightly different way.
And the journey began with the opening of the 1st Tourist Festival "Kyiv Region Tourism" 2012, which was held in Kyiv on May 11-12 this year. The festival was opened by Anatoly Prisyazhnyuk, chairman of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, and timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Kyiv region. All districts of the region were present with the presentation of tourist routes, sanatorium destinations, active recreation and just a weekend getaway. Advertisements were scattered through ladies' handbags and men's purses, visitors were actively interested in routes and tried treats, bought souvenirs (ceramics, embroidery, etc. ).
The Kyiv region was formed on February 27.1932 as part of the Ukrainian SSR.

The region borders on Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Vinnitsa and Poltava regions, and also borders on the Republic of Belarus. The region includes 25 districts and 11 cities of regional subordination.

This is the temple of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica.
The temple was built in the form of an eight-sided log house with an area of .100 square meters. m. and resembles the old Russian form of stone temples. The temple has an amazing iconostasis!
It is better to say that the unique iconostasis, carved from maple, not painted with paint, strikes with its beauty, airiness, and individuality. But work on solid maple is oh, hard.
I remember the colored stained-glass windows on the windows in the temple. Beautiful and unusual! The temple works and the fact that today 500 baptisms and 117 weddings have been held in the temple speaks for itself. But the construction of the temple began in 2006.

And since 2016, golf has been included in the program of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Kyiv Golf Club, which is part of the GolfStream Project, is not only the largest golf facility in Ukraine, but also the pearl of European golf architecture. It includes three golf courses, including Ukraine's only 18-hole championship golf course, as well as a panoramic driving range, short game golf practice areas, swing analyzers and more. Here you can go from an absolute golf beginner to an amateur golfer, as well as introduce your family, friends and colleagues to sports and recreation. Statistics show that 70% of beginners after studying at the training center (this is the Golf Academy) never leave golf.
Everything you see is impressive in the first place! Second, the scale! And once again - the scale! This is my first visit to a golf club.
And now, before my eyes, she is the main pearl of the Gulfstream project. This is a cascade of golf courses.

Our group after a week of work, but no one felt tired. And only closer to midnight we all slowly go to rest in our nice rooms.

In the meantime, the guys from the TERRA INCOGNITA team prepared a surprise for us. Descent along the Desna on catamarans. Preliminary briefing is the main condition for all rafting and oars in hand - let's go, that is, we swam!
This is where the team spirit is formed. The success of the alloy depends on each participant. Coherence of actions ensures success, so-and-so. Don't forget to look around. The Desna River - takes its source from the Blue Moss peat bog of the Smolensk region, near Yelnya.
It flows through the Smolensk and Bryansk regions of Russia, the Chernigov and Kyiv regions of Ukraine, the left tributary of the Dnieper, the longest of its tributaries. The length of the river is 1130 km. Navigable to Novgorod-Seversky (535 km from the mouth).
It flows into the Dnieper in the northern part of Kyiv. The first residents of the Heroes of Stalingrad Avenue (the former name of the Slavutich embankment - how beautiful) on Obolon saw the Desna from the windows. Along Prirechnaya Street, I think you can see it now.
Unfortunately, the rafting ended quickly, but how you want more! Let's not be sad because in the Kyiv region and in Ukraine there are rivers and, most importantly, that there is a desire to fulfill a dream.
Here are our two days off. We got new knowledge, drove around the Kyiv region and made sure there is something to see, something to learn, there is a place to relax with good living conditions. And as they say, “Abroad is good, but home is better! »
