The fact that I like to travel on weekends is already known. Don't just sit at home. And don't just lie at home. It's better to have a backpack on your back and on the train. Thankfully they haven't been canceled yet. But this weekend, my friends and I traveled near Kyiv in a slightly different way.

And the journey began with the opening of the 1st Tourist Festival "Kyiv Region Tourism" 2012, which was held in Kyiv on May 11-12 this year. The festival was opened by Anatoly Prisyazhnyuk, chairman of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, and timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Kyiv region. All districts of the region were present with the presentation of tourist routes, sanatorium destinations, active recreation and just a weekend getaway. Advertisements were scattered through ladies' handbags and men's purses, visitors were actively interested in routes and tried treats, bought souvenirs (ceramics, embroidery, etc. ).

The Kyiv region was formed on February 27.1932 as part of the Ukrainian SSR.

The city of Kyiv became the administrative center of the region.

The region borders on Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Vinnitsa and Poltava regions, and also borders on the Republic of Belarus. The region includes 25 districts and 11 cities of regional subordination.

The history of the Kievan lands goes back to hoary antiquity. There is something for tourists to see.

In Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky (the city of 20 museums), the remains of buildings of the 11th-12th centuries were discovered by excavations. (episcopal palace, church of Michael, etc. ), St. Michael's Church [1646–1666, erected on the ruins of St. Michael's Church (1090)] and the ensemble of the Ascension Monastery (1695–1700) have been preserved; In one of the oldest Russian cities Vasilkov - the Cathedral of St. Anthony and Theodosius (1756–1758) and the Nicholas Church (1792).

Archaeological excavations (first half of the 20th c.

) in Vyshgorod, a citadel and a craft and trade settlement "Olzhin Grad" were discovered, where a part of an old street with the remains of ground and semi-earth dwellings of metalworking and pottery workshops, the remains of fortifications, tools, dishes, jewelry, the foundation of the Borisoglebskaya church and other finds belonging to to the X-XIII centuries (Old Russian settlement of the IX-XIII centuries). In the vicinity of Vyshgorod, there was the Mezhigorsky Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery (988 - 1930s).

Near with. Trypillya revealed settlements (parking) of the Stone Age, near the village. Trakhtemirova - settlement of the Scythian period; in the Borispol region, in the village of Sofiyivka, there is the Sofiyivka burial ground (of the late stage of the Trypil culture), etc.

And for us, the festival continues in the "Ukrainian Village".

Just 15 km from Kyiv in the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district in the village. Buzova is located the ethnographic complex "Ukrainian village", a participant in the festival Kiev region is tourist.

From the stuffy Kyiv, we ended up in paradise and the history of all Ukraine.

Imagine that the complex presents huts (houses) from the Hutsul region, the South of Ukraine, Podolia, Polissya, the Middle Dnieper and Sloboda regions. Inside each hut, the interior is completely recreated. The number of household utensils in name alone is already staggering!

Near the pottery workshop, forge and distillery. Why are pottery and a forge needed, there is no need to tell, and a distillery is a room for making alcohol, vodka in a handicraft way, the encyclopedia says. It is clear - in our moonshine! There is also a homestead - pigs, sheep, rabbits, hens and cockerels. Here the kids are happy. Mini zoo. And as in a real village there is a temple. This is the temple of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica.

The temple was built in the form of an eight-sided log house with an area of .100 square meters. m. and resembles the old Russian form of stone temples. The temple has an amazing iconostasis!

It is better to say that the unique iconostasis, carved from maple, not painted with paint, strikes with its beauty, airiness, and individuality. But work on solid maple is oh, hard.

I remember the colored stained-glass windows on the windows in the temple. Beautiful and unusual! The temple works and the fact that today 500 baptisms and 117 weddings have been held in the temple speaks for itself. But the construction of the temple began in 2006.

And according to our Ukrainian hospitality, no one is allowed to go without lunch. Oh, and what a delicious borscht, roast and pickled crispy cucumber. Everyone drank compote. We give the chefs of the kolyba "Let's go" the highest rating!

And the truth is, "Let's go. " You can come to the "Ukrainian Village" any day, you can go from Kyiv by fixed-route taxi No. 733 in the direction of the village. Nikolayevka.

We take note.

We warmly thank the hosts and on the road.

Favorite Zhytomyr highway towards Zhytomyr up to 39 km, then turn to Berezovka and after driving 11 km through the villages of Kolonshchina, Vyshegrad, Gavronshchina (there are signs everywhere on the turns), we are met by the Kyiv Golf Club, a participant in the festival.

What do we know about golf? According to Wikipedia: golf (English golf) is a sports game in which individual participants or teams compete by driving a small ball into special holes with clubs, trying to cover the allotted distance in the minimum number of strokes.

And despite the fact that the game of golf originated in Scotland and was invented by shepherds who, with the help of staffs (future clubs), drove stones into rabbit holes, this is still new for Ukraine.

It is generally accepted that the game in its modern form took shape in the 19th century in Scotland.

And since 2016, golf has been included in the program of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Kyiv Golf Club, which is part of the GolfStream Project, is not only the largest golf facility in Ukraine, but also the pearl of European golf architecture. It includes three golf courses, including Ukraine's only 18-hole championship golf course, as well as a panoramic driving range, short game golf practice areas, swing analyzers and more. Here you can go from an absolute golf beginner to an amateur golfer, as well as introduce your family, friends and colleagues to sports and recreation. Statistics show that 70% of beginners after studying at the training center (this is the Golf Academy) never leave golf.

Everything you see is impressive in the first place! Second, the scale! And once again - the scale! This is my first visit to a golf club.

And now, before my eyes, she is the main pearl of the Gulfstream project. This is a cascade of golf courses.

The author of the project is Peter Chamberlain (Great Britain). Grass is visible in the album of my photographs, but what it feels like with your hand……. This is something everyone should try for themselves.

Everything I hear is verbatim.

There are several fields on the territory.

The best among the courses of the Club is the 18-hole Chamberlain Course (par 72.5914 m). An extensive system of water obstacles and wetlands, a complex and free course design, tactical game alternatives, laid down in almost every hole, challenge not only amateurs, but also the best players in the world.

It is followed by the classic 9-hole Club Course (par 36.2822 m), combining forests and open hilly areas, giving an idea of the traditional look of the course, with softly contoured sand bunkers, slopes and greens.

And, finally, the original and romantic 9-hole Park course (par 30.1662 m) - the name of which speaks for itself.

A magnificent selection of flowering shrubs and trees, a smooth hilly terrain make it hospitable and friendly to novice players.

But that's not all. The GolfStream project also includes a complex of sports facilities, residential areas and parkland, the Club House, outdoor and indoor golf practice areas, tracks for cycling and hiking, excursions by golf car, roller skating, playgrounds for practicing summer views. sports and fishing. In the modern Club House - the recreation center of the GolfStream Project - there is a children's room with a 3D cinema, and near the open summer club restaurant - a playground. Also here is Europe's largest club golf shop PRO-Shop. Part of the Project area is occupied by forest plantations and lakes, which also expands the opportunities for countryside recreation in nature.

In addition, at the final stage of construction, the Project will include an Equestrian Academy with indoor and outdoor equestrian arenas, a summer sports park, a swimming pool and residential club residences of three types.

And absolutely stunning information. The golf club is preparing for the world championship among professional women! Isn't this a confirmation of the level of the club! ?

So the Kyiv region. , Makarovsky district, Grivnevskoe highway, with. Gavron region. It is worth checking the statistics - perhaps we will enter the 70% of students who have chosen golf as a way of life.

In order not to return to Kyiv, we decide to stay for the night at the participant of the 1st festival "Kyiv region tourist" hotel complex Pushcha Lesnaya.

The complex is located in the forest on the shores of the lake in the Kyiv region. with. Moshchun, st. Lesnaya 1, which is 12 km from Kyiv. After such a busy day, everyone dreamed of settling into a room and “Lie down and sleep! »

But fresh and clean air, entering our bodies, works wonders. There was an appetite and dinner came in handy. And then we wandered around the territory of the complex, along the river bank and just sat and looked at the stars, at the surface of the water in the lake. Our group after a week of work, but no one felt tired. And only closer to midnight we all slowly go to rest in our nice rooms.

The sun greets our rested and cheerful team in the morning.

The first breakfast is sacred and undeniable. The second is the complex! Imagine that outwardly a small hotel has 51 rooms. There are junior suites, standard rooms, panoramic junior suites and panoramic junior suites with a balcony, there are 3-storey and 2-storey cottages.

What variety. The same is true with services. Everything is here!

Conference hall, organization of corporate events, celebrations. For example, “To play a wedding - to walk in the Forest! »

Baths - Russian, Finnish and Turkish hammam. Fitness center and SPA center.

And the availability of rental bicycles and quad bikes was a delight! ! ! You can go, and we do not need any markings on the road, cheers!

Shooting range in the forest (Feel like a forest hunter) and paintball (A game for real men in conditions close to the military, please! )

And of course, table tennis.

In the meantime, the guys from the TERRA INCOGNITA team prepared a surprise for us. Descent along the Desna on catamarans. Preliminary briefing is the main condition for all rafting and oars in hand - let's go, that is, we swam!

This is where the team spirit is formed. The success of the alloy depends on each participant. Coherence of actions ensures success, so-and-so. Don't forget to look around. The Desna River - takes its source from the Blue Moss peat bog of the Smolensk region, near Yelnya.

It flows through the Smolensk and Bryansk regions of Russia, the Chernigov and Kyiv regions of Ukraine, the left tributary of the Dnieper, the longest of its tributaries. The length of the river is 1130 km. Navigable to Novgorod-Seversky (535 km from the mouth).

It flows into the Dnieper in the northern part of Kyiv. The first residents of the Heroes of Stalingrad Avenue (the former name of the Slavutich embankment - how beautiful) on Obolon saw the Desna from the windows. Along Prirechnaya Street, I think you can see it now.

Unfortunately, the rafting ended quickly, but how you want more! Let's not be sad because in the Kyiv region and in Ukraine there are rivers and, most importantly, that there is a desire to fulfill a dream.

Here are our two days off. We got new knowledge, drove around the Kyiv region and made sure there is something to see, something to learn, there is a place to relax with good living conditions. And as they say, “Abroad is good, but home is better! »
