About catacombs, green meadows and sledges in summer.

"Night will pass, the morning will be clear" ...So it was with us. The new day has brought new weather and finally there is no rain today.

We woke up in the country complex "Babina stodola" and were able to explore the area. There are mansions, hotel rooms, green lawns on the territory, gazebos, restaurant, lake and even catamarans.

We haven't done anything with our hands for a long time. This item has been filled in today. The Kremenets Museum of Local Lore not only delighted us with its exhibits, but also entertained us with a master class on making whistles.

The museum may seem quite small from the side, but inside there are many halls and more than 68 thousand exhibits.

Of course, the most interesting hall for both children and us is the hall of nature.

There you can pet a bison, look at the animals that live in these areas and even see the tusks and teeth of a mammoth.

In addition to the hall of nature, there is also a hall of archeology and a hall with a panorama of the siege of the castle hill.

The cost of a ticket to the museum is UAH 10.

Various museum development programs and excursions are currently being implemented here to attract visitors.

And our attention was drawn to a master class on making whistles.

We learned to make bird figurines out of clay. But it is not as simple as it seems, because inside the bird should remain hollow, and the tail should be carefully made a hole so that air passes and the sound comes out.

I love everything where you can use my "hands not for boredom".

So even if my Antonina jay wasn't perfect, I enjoyed making this toy charm.

Kremenets is famous for many things and yesterday we learned about it. But today we immersed ourselves even more in its history, culture and interesting objects.

Kremenets is also known as the oldest Cossack cemetery in Ukraine. I agree, it may not sound like much.

But the Cossacks have been buried here since 1648. Today there are 102 crosses on the mountain, and once there was a church nearby. These Cossacks have been buried here since the siege of the castle hill by Maxim Krivonos.

This would not be a real city in Western Ukraine if it did not have a Jewish cemetery. The majority of the population here used to be Jewish. They began to come here for trade since the city was given the Magderburg right.

And according to their tradition, they first looked for a place to bury, and then they developed infrastructure and built synagogues. The oldest tombs date back to the 1940s.

The cemetery is already overgrown with grass, many graves are crooked and fallen. Currently, the Kremenets Mountains National Park is being improved by the cemetery and the first fences have already appeared.

Also in the national park is a little-known place for tourists - the catacombs. More precisely, it is a quarry. These quarries are over 500 years old. They are about 3 km long, they are single-storey, but there are two entrances and one window. But this is the main thing. The main thing you need to know - it's very interesting.

Bats live in the catacombs, there is an old tree that has already been captured by mushrooms, water is dripping from the walls in some places.

It will not be possible to reach full growth in the catacombs, the whole route must be overcome in a half-bent state and only in some places you can straighten up.

You can't go there without flashlights either. Or rather, it will work, but not for long.

Underfoot sand, stones, sometimes "souvenirs" from past visitors.

These catacombs were opened for free access recently - in autumn 2016. Therefore, many tourists do not know about them yet.

The catacombs were opened after an inspection by a commission that approved the safety of the facility. Here you can not worry. But you will not be able to visit the catacombs without a guide to the national park.

To visit and take a full tour of the catacombs, please contact the office of the Kremenets Mountains National Park http:// kremgory. in. ua /

If you want a tasty and inexpensive meal, you should go to the restaurant "Ikva". The room here is large, beautifully decorated tables and delicious mushroom cream soup.

And you probably don't know that you can go sledding in Kremenets even in summer! Here is the basis where tobogganing is taught.

Mostly children come here to compete, but adults also come.

The length of the route is about 1000 meters, but only 800 meters of the route are actively used.

There are few tourists here, but you can come here by contacting the administration in advance and for 200-300 UAH / hour to rent a sled and ride.

Sledges here are not what we are used to since childhood. They are on wheels, and with handles for emphasis.

You need to lie down on the sledge, press your hands tightly to your torso and hold the handles, keep your head and body tense, straighten your legs and tighten your socks. The instructor lets go, the sledge starts to roll, your eyes start to increase and now you are already racing at all times on the wooden track, overcoming evil turns!

It's scary while you're watching, but it's not scary when you're leaving. The sled can accelerate up to 40-60 km / h.

We tested two sites. Wow!

But the most difficult thing for me is to brake the sled. They weigh twice as much as me.

Overall a great attraction.

Then our Elena, who revealed to us all the secret corners of Kremenets, took us to Mount Wolf. Rather, we all went accompanied by a guide from the National Nature Park.

In Kremenets there are many ecological routes and trekking enthusiasts have a place to walk, or rather, to disperse.

Although the mountains around Kremenets are not big, they are picturesque, with beautiful nature and flora.

The best place for me today was the tower on top of Wolf Mountain. Ornithologists observe the birds here, and it is simply breathtaking!

Green meadows, green forests, the baths of the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra can be seen in the distance and the roads are covered with thin snakes between all this.

Here we had a chic picnic with delicious soup, potatoes, meat, strawberries. At such moments you realize that no restaurants, no hotels will replace the hospitality of nature!

Here with this landscape I fell in love with the picture of Kremenets!
