"Fine city of Ternopil" I will not be mistaken if I say that everyone knows the song of the Gadyukin brothers. If not a song, then a line from a song. And often even quoted.
But we can safely say "Fine region of Ternopil. " A small area with more than a third of the monuments of history, archeology, castles and palaces of all Ukraine. According to the number of churches, chapels and chapels, the region was named Little Jerusalem.
To show the possibilities of the region for tourists, the Ternopil Regional Administration held an all-Ukrainian tourist media forum "Ternopil tourist region - through the eyes of journalists. "

On the road! We are moving to the village of Zarvanytsia in the Terebovlya district.
Here, in 1442, a monk of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, escaping from the Mongol-Tatars, lay down under a tree and fell asleep. In a dream, the Mother of God came to him. In the morning he found her icon near the spring with water. In honor of this miracle in the cave, he built a cell, erected an icon and named his home Zarvanytsia, where his dream broke.
The village that arose in this holy place was called Zarvanytsia. According to legend, the icon repeatedly stopped enemy attacks, and water from a spring healed the crippled and sick.
Today this place is known to the whole Christian world - Zarvanytsia Marian Spiritual Center.
The center is located on the edge of the village. It includes the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Zarvanytsia, the Gate Church and the chapel. Opposite the cathedral, in the center of the square, an architectural composition of the icon of God of 3arvanytsia was built. The stele with the image of the icon (made of Italian white marble) is an exact copy of the icon. The composition is crowned with a crown and a cross.
Singing field of artistic and spiritual events. In the form of an amphitheater and seats up to 50 thousand spectators. At the source of holy water is the Way of the Cross.
On May 19-21.1995, the People's Pilgrimage took place at the Zarvanytsia Spiritual Center, which was attended by about a million people, including 339 foreign nationals.
Both Orthodox and Catholics visit the center.
And the miraculous icon of the Mother of God is located in the parish church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1754. In 1867 her coronation took place, Pope Pius IX gave the icon a holiday meaning.
Charged with the energy of the holy place, we move on.
Ternopil region is located in the western part of the Podolsk Upland. Rivers belonging to the Dniester and Pripyat basins flow in the region. The largest are the Dniester (length within the region 215 km), Seret (242 km), Zbruch (244 km), Strypa (147 km) and others.
Our road has already crossed the Strypa River several times.
And she brought us to the village of Skomorohy.
From here, our path lies at the recreation center "Over the Strip". And so the miracles begin. If in the Carpathians the roads are flat or uphill, in Ternopil the roads are flat or down. We have to go down the serpentine. Offer to count the turns. Interesting!
