Useful review or my experience of the sixth trip to Truskavets
Congratulations to everyone who came to read my review of the trip to Truskavets in January 2018. I think it is necessary to notice at once that I have already traveled to this city 5 times, but always in the summer. This year I decided to try to go in the winter, I wanted a real Christmas. More about my impressions! Attention! I apologize in advance that a lot of text, I want to share my experience ! ! ! !

The last time I was in Truskavets was six years ago, then the city made an indelible impression on me, but now the feelings are twofold!
TOP OF TRUSKAVTSA, WHAT'S THERE?
First in winter (or now always, I do not know), Truskavets is divided into two parts: lower and upper. The conditional border between these parts passes between the sanatoriums "Geneva" and "Crystal Palace". So, right behind the "Crystal Palace" it becomes very quiet. There are almost no people. This can be explained by the fact that such giants as "Amber" and "Ruby" are canned. There is an opinion among the locals that their closure is connected with the construction of a hotel (allegedly these sanatoriums are now pledged to the bank).

First about the top. Sanatoriums "Diamond" and "Crystal" function and are "islands" where you can meet people! They survived only because they were rented out and Hospital №2 (popularly called "spa") is still alive only thanks to the vacationers of the above sanatoriums. And, for a minute, if the hospital is closed, then for all the procedures, vacationers who stayed in hotels will have to pay one and a half to two times more.

If you live in the upper part and suddenly get hungry, the only supermarket is "Furshet" in which prices are an order of magnitude higher than in the lower part.
There is also a fast food restaurant "Two Geese", which due to the small number of tourists is almost not prepared.

And here's the most interesting! The upper pump room (the one that is round) from 29.12. In 2017 it was closed for indefinite repairs (locals generally believe that it has become unprofitable). Crystal has its own small pump room, although doctors say the water there is much worse (too many degrees of purification).
Now let's go down. You can go down to the park or in the center. In winter, the park is very beautiful and incredibly fresh air, but a little colder than in the center.

TSUM OR EVERYTHING LEFT OF IT!
Let's go past the "half-ruin" of "Geneva" (I always wanted to go there, but now the desire is completely gone). We pass by shops (very beautiful), past two restaurants (Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Azerbaijani cuisine), past "Spring" (pleasantly surprised, it is being restored) and… go to the once favorite place - the first shopping (such as Central Department Store). And… drumbeat… we see one floor of the "finishing" store, all other floors are closed!

STAIRCASE - THE SOUL OF THE CITY!
We go up the great stairs (goes straight to the lower pump room, also known as Pump Room №1). Phew, thank God, almost nothing has changed. All the same sellers in the world. From chocolate scrap to knitted socks and chic embroidered dresses. Sometimes it seems to me that this ladder is the soul of Truskavets.

TO WHOM PICTURES, SOUVENIRS, CONCERTS?
Next to the pump room, as always, you will be invited to many concerts (when I was resting came: Alyosha, the Schumacher Brothers, etc. ), will offer a huge number of souvenirs and various paintings (there are really beautiful). Then you can walk along the "Alley of Paintings" past the former toilet (now here, attention, cafe, ironically…) and walk to the central square. Here you have three options (yes, as in a fairy tale). . .

The weather for 12 days of our vacation changed 3 times: +12 (sun), +6 (rain, very strong, down jacket cracked through), -6 (wet snow, very cold from- for high humidity).
YOU WILL GO TO THE RIGHT -…, TO THE LEFT -…, AND JUST WHAT? MARKET, SHOPS, FOOD : )
To the right you will go - straight, past the Church, up the hill - you will reach the market, ATB, supermarket "Kolibris" (do not take pies, I found a rope there, but unleavened bread - super) and shopping center (there- the same shop "Drohobych sausages" - I advise). On the left you will go to Villa Mozart, Park (these are old villas and this is the first tourist street) and to the Palace. TG Shevchenko. Go straight - go through the wooden market, tours, shops and get to the cinema.

PUMPKIN №1 - IS IT SCARY OR USEFUL?
Let's return to the question of pump rooms, more precisely about the pump room (the top, after all, is closed). Naftusya water, which saved my body (I have known its taste since childhood), has a weak consistency (there is no previous taste of oil, who knows - will understand). Locals say that it has long been ruthlessly diluted and advised to those who really need treatment to go to Skhodnitsa. The doctors told us to be very careful, because the pumping stations do not seem to be quartz (they, as never before, many people began to turn to SARS). I advise children to leave on the street with one of the adults. I, for example, limited myself to snot and sore throat, but my mother - a temperature of 39. In the pump room faucets are very poorly typed (I have, for example, only the 5th faucet poured water, although the operation indicators were burning at all).
It has become a tradition not to "top up" or "pour" water. All taps of 150 ml look different (which is dangerous). Washbasins for cups (because "Naftusya" and "Maria" do not like when they are mixed) do not work. For January 2018, pump rooms are free. Mode of operation in the photo.

OY, IT'S TIME FOR AN ETERNAL FRIEND'S FRIEND IN TRUSKAVTSE (QUIET, IT'S ABOUT TOILETS).
It is important for all vacationers of this resort to have a toilet (because the resort is famous for its diuretic waters). I hasten to please you, all toilets are paid because they are rented out. Prices range from 2 to 3 UAH. We liked the toilet in the wooden market the most. Clean, small queues. Price - 2 hryvnias.
YAROSLAVA, SOLOKHA, KATERINA - NOT FRIENDS, BUT TASTY FEEDED OR WHERE TO SATISFY HUNGER FOR 30 UAH?
For eating like "dining room" we were advised to cafe "Yaroslavna", it is well-deserved and re-deserved (near the railway station and cinema, every local will tell you). Interior for 3/5, utensils for 3/5, quality 5/5, taste 5/5 (I recommend borsch, pancakes), price: borsch - 15 hryvnias. , pancakes with cottage cheese (a lot of cottage cheese) and jam - 15 UAH / 2 pcs, pancakes with jam - 13 UAH / 3 pcs. All locals eat here.
Next "Solokha" (next to the church, remember: "you will go to the right"). Tasty enough, clean, there is a toilet.
Another canteen-cafe with a female name - "Katerina" (next to the Truskavets Museum). Prices of the same category. I liked draniki. There is a toilet, good view, good furniture.

In Truskavets, a lot of chocolate scrap is sold, but I advise you to buy it on the market. Because unscrupulous sellers very often sell confectionery tiles (dessert) under the guise of chocolate.
The price is the same, but natural chocolate is better than J
I advise you to try "Andruti" sold in the hotel "Aphrodite" (if you go to the "great stairs" there is a cafe from this hotel). A very tasty thing and a wonderful gift. We brought such a gift to my grandmother - she is delighted! Price - 65 hryvnias. (Pack of 6) There are a lot of flavors.
Eucalyptus and propolis candies are sold at the wooden market. I advise parents to make an excellent, tasty, useful candy. They are made on a stick (different molds) and in balls. One small - 3 UAH / piece, on a stick - 10 UAH / piece. Good for coughs or sore throats.
AND TAKES ME… TRAIN… IN SPACE
Train… This is a separate world that connects Kyiv and Truskavets. Oh, the story will not be pleasant. Ukrzaliznytsia is surprising, as always. How I would like the director of the above-mentioned organization to go back and forth to SV (I am good) on this train (and evil) for a week.
The fact that the car is old - to put it mildly. It blows from the windows so that my hair swelled. There is simply not even the cheapest tonometer in the first-aid kit (one tourist didn't want to leave so much that the roofing felt jumped, the roofing felt dropped the pressure, we never found out, because there was no tonometer for the whole train). Guys, that's funny. Thermometer and tonometer should always be! ! ! ! ! Temperature and pressure are such things when an ambulance may simply not have time to arrive! The Kyiv-Truskavets train is a horror (even for me, weighing 55 kg at a height of 167 cm, it was really very difficult to fit on the shelf! I drove to the table all night, because the desire to rest my nose on the "sofa" is not the first And the cherry on the cake… I never managed to get to the light switch! Just getting on the shelf. This is, sorry, discrimination. because
the door lock is also high and I could not go to the toilet "quietly". The train Truskavets - Kyiv (traveled by number in the same car) is a little better, although it shakes, of course, decently. I did not fly off the toilet a couple of times, sorry. I had one thought in my head: isn't Ukrzaliznytsia testing me for the next launch? For the money I paid (707 UAH) the conditions could have been better. But there are a couple of pluses: in the winter I rode in a T-shirt and I was hot, although I'm freezing (in the train perfectly drown) and staff (guides are very good, positive, always happy to help).

WHAT TO TAKE ON A WINTER TRIP?
What to take with you on a winter trip? Required: warm sweater, warm pants (preferably waterproof), warm hat, scarf or balaclava (sometimes very cold, penetrating the wind), changeable shoes, lots of socks, mittens or gloves, umbrella, drinker, backpack, honey.
documents, booking, money (they are needed at almost every step). There are ATMs of different banks and branches. And, of course, good mood and positive mood! ! ! Whatever it was, but the air is wonderful and the architecture is interesting: )
