In short:
I liked the hotel, the sea is dirty, the beach is dirty, there is nowhere to go - there are very few decent establishments. About the fact that visitors are dirtying: in my presence, a local girl was bathing a mare next to vacationers. Very revealing.

Good hotel. The photos posted on the site are close to reality. The villa is really beautiful, in appearance - there is nothing better nearby. Rooms are spacious and bright with floor-to-ceiling French windows. I liked the idea with a glass door - it adds space and light. The atmosphere is tastefully created - it is a pleasure to be in the room. Not the last role in this is played, of course, by air conditioning. Powerful and quiet. The territory of the hotel is well-groomed, there is a wonderful patio with a fountain and a rotunda, where a cafe is located. The food is nice, prices are average. There are of course cafes and cheaper ones, but they are not so cozy. And yet, we liked to sit in the evenings in the gazebo or on the terrace - you can order dinner from the cafe there for a small extra charge. The rooms are clean and cleaned every day. There are spiders, but I have not yet seen a single place where they were not there... The water is both cold and hot. True, the pressure is not very, but around the clock. The hostess of the hotel and the maid are very pleasant people in communication, all issues are resolved quickly, there were no problems.
The sea around the hotel is not very clean. We were told that it is so muddy because the Dniester flows nearby. May be. The beach is rather filthy: a lot of buried and unburied gobies, empty plastic cups and heaps of garbage. They do not add beauty and buildings left over from the times of the USSR - wretched panel houses with amenities in the yard. The amenities smell. Not on the whole beach, of course, but it's disgusting to pass by. I sympathize with the people who lived nearby. But I did not see a toilet on the beach itself. But we and the hotel was within walking distance - you can run. But the guys from the company, admiring the night surf and drinking beer, relieved themselves almost right there, at the fence. They did not climb into the sea (if anyone had such a question) - given their condition, not everyone would have returned back. In short, the beach causes persistent hostility. We bought two mattresses and sunbathed in the sea or sat in the surf line. And on the beach they drive a donkey and a horse. First they drive. Then the horse is bathed next to the rest. I, personally, was in a slight shock. But it's okay, I, an independent person, came out of the water and watched in a quiet dumbfounded. But across the fence from the bathing place of this horse, there is some kind of children's health institution (judging by the plan - "Zatoka"). And at that time there were quite a lot of children swimming there. No one asked them to get out of the water, and no one expressed any claims to the girl for the horse. So they swam side by side - a girl on a mare and a detachment of children. In general, I noticed that local youth have a very strange attitude towards visitors. They are not directly rude, but there is a persistent crushed hostility. I liked it very much - you ask how much such a souvenir costs - at first they silently examine you from under their brows, then they wait for you to repeat your question, and then they answer. The waiters in the cafe are a separate story. I'll tell you about two - "Barrel" and "Seagull". In the "Barrel" for service, a percentage is set (as in many other cafes on Zatoka) - 7%. Our amount was 108 hryvnia. Let the percentage be 8 hryvnia. But no: the total amount is 108+7% total: 120 hryvnia. We pointed this out to the waitress. Nonsense, but somehow offensive. Reaction - "Oh, yes, wrong! " And change - 30 hryvnia from 150. We did not wait for her again, we left. And yet, three tables left without waiting for the waiter. They waited for a long time - we had time to eat and drink beer. A similar situation was in the "Seagull". Only the waiter did not calculate the percentage “incorrectly”, but the amount. To the question: “why is the amount like that? ”, the answer is: “Oh, I counted wrong” and the absolutely expected ending - the change is 6 hryvnia less than it should be. Naturally, we did not go there for breakfast or dinner. Liked "Assol" and a cafe in "Casablanca". And yet, not far from the central alley, there is a pastry shop - there are very tasty pasties. True, it is difficult to call it a cafe. But for the sake of such pasties and the absence of annoying loud music, we often went there.
On Zatoka you can go on an excursion. We took two: on a boat, to the Akkerman fortress, and on a bus, a sightseeing tour of Odessa. I liked the review: the guide was interesting, the bus was air-conditioned, the only negative was a bad microphone in the cabin. But on a motor ship… Why do you sell more tickets than this motor ship can hold?? ? People were sitting on the floor, on some ropes, just standing. And the travel time is long! The tour was kind of crazy, we didn’t really stay anywhere - 30 minutes of free time and back. And in the end, a piece of coal flew out of the chimney and burned my leg. A piece of centimeter 2.5 long. A neighbor on the bench was also burned with coal. What was it?
For those who doubt what to take with them, rubles or dollars, here is the exchange rate for August 8 (an exchanger near the market): 1000r = 250gr, $100 = 786gr.
