We arrived in a big group. Since the rooms were booked in advance, the check-in was quick.

At the check-in desk, a bracelet is put on the hand, which provides the opportunity to use the hotel's infrastructure.
In addition, two cards are issued: one is the key to the room, the second is to turn on the electricity. This is convenient, as leaving the room you can leave electrical appliances on charge.

The video on the main page of the hotel website is completely true: the rooms, pools, and restaurants look like they are shown.

My room is Standard on the third floor with side sea view.

Cozy, clean, comfortable.

Soundproofing is acceptable.

The mattress and pillows are comfortable.
All electrical appliances worked, there were more than three outlets.

There are 4 clothes hangers in the closet.

The air conditioner is located above the front door, so the flow of cooled air goes past the bed, which in my opinion is correct. It works almost silently, turns on only when the door to the balcony is completely closed.

TV with a diagonal of 32 inches with a good set of mainly Ukrainian channels. Despite the presence of instructions, it was difficult to set it up, I even had to use the help of the staff, but then it worked well.

Wi-Fi in the room and on the territory is fast and stable, on the beach - intermittently.

There is an electric kettle (in addition to it, tea, coffee and sugar bags are free of charge), a small safe (did not use) and a refrigerator with a set of soft drinks and a couple of chocolate bars (for a fee).
I was surprised by the lack of bottled water, which is usually offered to guests in hotels of this level as a compliment.

The exit to the balcony is protected by a mosquito net: you can enjoy the sea air and be completely protected from mosquitoes.

Bathroom with shower. Above the large mirror there is an additional lamp, which is convenient when shaving.

From cosmetic accessories - soap, shampoo, shower gel.
There are bathrobes, disposable slippers, three towels per person and one extra for feet.

Plumbing was good and worked well.

There is a hair dryer.

Of the minuses - a sharp, unpleasant smell when you turn on the water in the shower, and the temperature of this water is well warm, but not hot.

The pool on the seventh floor is wonderful, compact, with a beautiful view of the sea.

The water temperature is 23-24 degrees.

Next to the pool is an area with comfortable sun loungers.
There are umbrellas to hide from direct sunlight and several tables.

The bar next to the pool prepares delicious cocktails, including non-alcoholic ones.

There is a toilet at the exit.

The pool on the second floor is larger. But the water is colder too. According to my feelings, it was no more than 22 degrees.

But there is a jacuzzi area with a comfortable water temperature and pleasant bubbles, but it is almost always busy.

Comfortable sun loungers and tables are placed next to the pool.

There were always empty seats on sun loungers, both on the second and on the seventh floor.

On the second floor, near the restaurant, there is a playroom for children.

Breakfast is included in the room rate.

The two breakfasts I attended were varied but not much different from each other.
Boiled potatoes, rice with vegetables, cauliflower, grilled zucchini, boiled sausages and smoked sausages, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, pancakes, milk porridges: rice and buckwheat, cutting of 5-6 types of sausages and ham and 4-5 types of cheese (including with mold), salted fish, fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, green and blue olives, cottage cheese, butter, jams, preserves, honey, 3-4 types of pastries, muesli, raisins, dried apricots, nuts, watermelons , melons, plums, pears, grapes.

From drinks - milk, kefir, fermented baked milk, kefir, juices, coffee, tea.

Everything was fresh and tasty!

We also ordered lunch and dinner from the restaurant and were also satisfied.

At the exit from the hotel to the beach, there is a special area in which sun loungers, beds and tents belonging to the hotel are located.

This infrastructure can be used by anyone for a certain price, and Moncastro guests receive a 25% discount (prices can be seen on the photo).

In our case, sun loungers were already included in the cost of the holiday.
It was comfortable to rest on them, and umbrellas protected well from the sun.

The sand on the beach is coarse and dark. The area between the sun loungers and the sea was dirty: bags, leftover food, cigarette butts.

The entrance to the sea is smooth, gentle.

During the day there were waves on the sea, so the water is with a suspension of sand, but warm, and in the morning it is calm, transparent, but cold (it feels like 18 degrees).

A huge plus of the hotel is the service provided for the issuance and replacement of beach towels. They can be obtained and changed both on the beach and near any of the pools, and do this several times a day. This is very convenient, as there is no need to dry the towel in the room or on the balcony. The towels are big and good quality.

The hotel also offers water equipment rental. The rental point is located near the exit to the beach.

Near the rental point there is a cafe where you can have a snack and drink cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
But be careful: there are no price tags in some refrigerators, and if you do not ask the price before buying, but rely on the decency of the bartender, they can cheat. So one of our company was sold a bottle of PEPSI 0.5 liter for 25 hryvnia, and another the same bottle for 40 hryvnia.

Another feature of the hotel - the price is for two people in a room. And if you decide to relax alone, then all the same, pay for two.

In general, there are much more pluses in this hotel than minuses and, in my opinion, Moncastro is one of the best, and maybe the best hotel in Zatoka

From a pleasant point of view, we were allowed to leave our things in the “luggage office” and drive the car to the parking lot, so that you understand, the storage room is just a closet under the stairs, which is locked, there are no shelves there, nothing, you just stupidly throw your bags on the floor and all.
What didn't you like? They took us to the room only at 13:10, as the previous guests left at the wrong time, and the maid did not have time to clean the room and she did it in a terrible hurry. The room was cleaned very badly: dust under the bed and hair everywhere, especially on the floor, there was even hair on a clean towel, but you could put up with it, but not with the remnants of some food or candy on the white bed sheet. And we asked the administration to offer us another room, and we were offered one floor below and the room turned out to be clean and there was nothing to complain about. But the only thing I noticed was the very dirty ventilation grate in the bathroom in both rooms.
2. Car parking
In the advertising price they promise you a free guarded parking lot, but they do not warn you that it is not near the hotel, but 500m away. from it to a completely different recreation center "Cote d'Azur". And you can’t park your car under the hotel for a while, as there is not enough space for parking and the security constantly drills into your brain that you can’t drive up to the hotel in your car, and you only have the right to unload or load your suitcases and that’s it Forget about parking.
Guarded parking, this is when I took the car when I wanted and no one approached me from the guards, that is, car theft is quite possible.
3. About the room
Whatever you understand, this is a new hotel that has been operating for 3 or 4 months since opening.
- The mattress of the bed creaked, so if someone gets up at night, for example, to go to the toilet, then he will be the creak of the mattress sleeping next to him.
- Hot water, I understand that the hotel has solar collectors on the roof and hot water is free of charge, yes it is hot, but only during the day, and at night it is just warm and that's it.
- Bathroom. The plus is that there is a stationary hair dryer with a funny name "Valera +". The downside is that there is no ventilation fan, but only a dirty ventilation grate, and when you bathe in the shower, it becomes very stuffy.
The toilet lid is not fixed well, so when you sit on the toilet, sorry, it fidgets and you can fall off the toilet.
Wash basin. The faucet is incorrectly selected, because of this it is very inconvenient to wash your hands, you rest against the wall of the washbasin.
- Electricity
There is light in the room as long as the magnetic card is inserted into a special slot, but this card is the key to the room, so you can’t leave the air conditioner on and leave to come after the heat to a chilled room, it’s stuffy in the room. Just one trouble was infuriating, this is when the air conditioner is working, you open the balcony door and the air conditioner turns off until you close the balcony door.
I liked the LED lighting everywhere, the room is very light and you can turn off the light in the room without getting out of bed, there are walk-through switches.
- Television
I am glad that the TV diagonal is already at least 32, and not 15 as on laptops, but TV viewing is implemented in Smart TV, through the "Peers TV" application, and it is so tight and always buggy. And why block the TV setup menu button, I want to make the screen dimmer, because it shines brightly at night, but I can’t, because the menu button does not work. The last morning at the hotel did not work, neither the Internet and, of course, TV did not work either.
- WiFi. No questions. Coverage is good throughout the hotel. The speed is good. But on the last day of stay, the Internet was not.
I was very pleased with the daily cleaning of the room, with the replacement of towels, and there are 8 of them. for two. Every day they left new toiletries in the bathroom, well, there is soap, shampoo and shower gel. But the slippers promised by the hotel, we did not see for 3 days.
I really liked the soundproofing in the room, there was not a single sound from the neighbors.
4. Impression of the hotel
- Breakfast. Everything was very tasty, a huge selection of products, every day you could eat something new for yourself. The waiters are great, they cleaned empty dishes in a timely manner and very quickly responded to the requests and desires of the guests.
- Pools. I understand that it is the end of the season and you can not try to maintain cleanliness. But guys, the pools need to be cleaned, that is, both the garbage on top of the pool and vacuuming its bottom. At the bottom of the pool on the 2nd floor, there is all sorts of rubbish and it's not pleasant.
The pool water was very cold both on the 2nd floor and on the 7th floor.
- Jacuzzi. Dear administration! I understand that the water in the kids pool is cold, but that doesn't mean the kids have to hang out in the jacuzzi all day, ok, just sit and warm themselves, by the way, the water in the jacuzzi is not hot enough, so they jump, splash in the water, probably the jacuzzi is built for adults ? Yes, and in the jacuzzi the bottom is full of sand, and you sit not on the tiles, but on the sand. No need to remove.
- Restaurant. Everything is delicious, but half of the dishes on the menu are not available. It was disappointing that 10% for service is included in the bill, maybe you don’t need to take these 10% from hotel guests, they leave a lot of money for your stay.
- Beach. Pros: 1 minute walk from the hotel. The downside is that the sand is dirty, after a night storm, a lot of garbage on the shore near the sun loungers. The sun loungers are very cool, they are soft and pleasant to lie on. It was nice that the room had towels specially for the beach.
Sun loungers are constantly in the sand, you must first shake out the sand, and only then throw in a towel.
In general, we liked it. Tighten the quality of the services provided, as the remarks we have described negate all the positive emotions from the rest.

Prices are high (as in an expensive metropolitan restaurant), but the dishes are beyond praise. Everything I've tried has been just perfect. The desserts were especially impressive. Big respect to the chef. I can’t say anything about the cafe, because in September it didn’t work. I would like the next year to have a little cleaning of the rooms (because cleaning and updating mini-cosmetics were not every day), cleaning the beach (walking in the morning and evening and removing bottles, papers, cigarette butts, broken glass would not be difficult. And the way the bottle of champagne lay near the path when we arrived, so it lies there). Buffet can be a little varied, at least side dishes. I hope that the hotel will not deteriorate in the future, but on the contrary, the administration will take into account the wishes of the guests in order to make it even better.

Since the sea was still very cold, we were rescued by pools (2 adults, a children's one with inflatable toys) and a warm jacuzzi : ) True, at the end of our vacation, something happened to their water purification system and the water in the jacuzzi was already as clear as at the beginning.
The breakfasts are chic, it's a sin to complain - a large selection + cereals for children for every taste.
The rooms are clean, comfortable; change bed linen every 3 days, cleaning every day. The room has towels, bathrobes, slippers, cosmetics, hair dryer, kettle, tea, mini-bar - everything is as it should be.
The beach is directly below the hotel, separated only by a footpath. The beach is well equipped: a lot of sun loungers, showers, changing rooms, security : ) Everything on the beach is for additional funds, and sun loungers and pools at the hotel are included in the price.

The hotel opened recently, just a month ago, and it is clear that the guys are trying. I hope this continues to be the case.
