We stayed in July 2014. The area is very beautiful, well maintained, the beach is clean. The rooms are not very (dirty, old furniture, washed bed linen, towels). The food is terrible (half of the sanatorium with diarrhea, while no one cares about it). No doctor, only nurse on duty. There are cockroaches in the room (people said I didn’t believe it at first, until I myself saw the truth killed only one in our room), the workers of the sanatorium claim that these are just bugs, not cockroaches. There are no lifeguards on the beach, no boat, nothing. Before our eyes, on July 24, a woman drowned (her husband was saved, but she was not pumped out), boys of 16-17 years old rushed to save them, who almost drowned themselves, and the guards and workers of the sanatorium stirred only when everyone who was on the beach began to shout, that our boys are about to drown, do at least something. They called a boat from Pitsunda, which arrived only an hour later. If at least some rescuers were possible, the woman would have been saved. So, I don’t go to Abkhazia anymore and I don’t advise you.
