I don’t know what photos to post and what to write about first. Fascinated by the country, people, climate, nature, hotel. I liked everything! Of course, nothing is perfect. But is the ideal interesting?
I'll start from the beginning. We had a transfer booked from the airport in Sochi. Met, brought to the border. There Budulai (rickshaw) dragged all our things across the border for 200 rubles and escorted us to a waiting minibus. I recommend visiting the duty free shop on the border. Of course, not as cheap as in the "Metro", but the prices are still excellent and the air conditioning works.
They took us to the hotel. At the reception, a very nice girl issued a resort card and offered to leave the suitcases in the foyer (you can talk and talk about the foyer - it's very nice and cozy) and run to the dining room - there were 5 minutes left before the end of dinner. We did just that. Crystal honest people work in the hotel. How many times have I forgotten money on the table - but never once did anyone covet. There are 3 canteen halls in the "Boxwood Grove". They are fed the same way, they differ only in decoration and temperature. One is very cold, the other is warmer. Who loves. The buffet is amazing. 4 types of salads - different every day. In the morning: broth, cereals, sausages, scrambled eggs, meatballs, dumplings, pancakes / pancakes / donuts / cheesecakes, salads, delicious cottage cheese, eggs, yogurt, sour cream, butter, honey (at least fill it up - you can pour it into a jar), milk, coffee , tea, pastries. For lunch: again salads, 2 types of soup, 3-4 types of side dishes, 2 types of vegetable stews, meatballs, shish kebab, and some meat, jelly, compote, juice, pastries, fruits. Dinner: another lunch option, kefir, cocoa, tea. Dressings are very diverse: mayonnaise, butter, ketchup, Tartar sauce, adjika, mustard, soy sauce, etc.

The rooms are all different. But all have a bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator, radio, TV, balcony with outdoor furniture and a corridor with a closet. The junior suite has a second bathroom, two air-conditioned rooms, a sofa and two armchairs with a table in the living room, a chest of drawers, a double bed (very large), a dressing table, bedside tables in the bedroom. The deluxe suites have ti-rooms, leather furniture and an additional shower cabin. The design of the rooms is very pleasant, in soothing coffee tones. You can take an electric kettle (free of charge), a basin from the maid, or you can give the linen to her for washing and ironing for a ridiculous price. (do not consider this bourgeois manners - you came to rest, but they don’t know how to earn an extra penny. The service is paid very little) The rooms are taken out every day, and if you don’t ask for more, they clean every three days and completely change linen and towels.
On the second floor there are billiard and tennis tables. Sports equipment is provided free of charge. On Thursdays, very talented and famous artists come and exhibit paintings and clay souvenirs there at a ridiculous price. And on the second floor there is an entrance to the winter garden and a hookah bar (every evening from 21 there the animators dance belly dance)
On the ground floor there are shops and a hospital complex. There are doctors, massages, wraps, Charcot's shower and a gym. I really LOVED the Charcot shower! From him I was always in good shape, lost weight, my skin improved. One session (30 minutes) 250 rubles. And also for health at 8 am, the animators conduct fitness. (Animation is completely free! ) And at 11.30 aqua aerobics. You will not regret! I am not new to the sport. But everything hurt. Animator - Marakan Said. Real trainer! Charming and educated, he sings beautifully.
The hotel has two swimming pools - outdoor and indoor - with sea water.
In the evening, around eight, in a cafe on the ground floor, animators arrange entertainment for children.
Adult parties start at 21: a disco in a cafe on the coast with the participation of animators (Said and another aunt sing), a karaoke cafe, a disco club, a hookah bar. And very tasty cuisine in the colorful restaurant "Abkhazia".
Animators will entertain you with football, volleyball, fishing, paid horse rides and picnic trips to the island with swimming with dolphins, "Bingo Show", performances by guest performers and KVN. There will be no time to be bored.
You can go somewhere on an excursion with guides (prices are normal), or you can do it yourself. The guards will gladly and cheaply take you, wait, bring you, show and tell you everything. You can go to Pitsunda, Sukhumi, Gagra, New Athos, an Abkhazian village, Blue Lake, Gegsky waterfall, Lake Ritz, a trout farm and many other things.

We went with a group to New Athos. All inclusive: we visited caves, a monastery, a market, an artificial waterfall and wine tasting with a guide. And they themselves went to Gagra, Pitsunda. I especially remember the trip to Lake Ritz. On the way, we visited the "Stone Bag", Blue Lake, waterfalls of tears, a destroyed bridge, a cliff "Farewell Motherland", on the way we transferred to a jeep (750 rubles for 7 people), which took us to the Gegsky waterfall. Fiction! There, along the way there is a tavern - it tastes bad!
Abkhazians are very nice people, they have experienced a lot, but still they are so cheerful and kind-hearted. They always treat - who can do what - who has chacha, honey, cognac, fish, figs, pears.
By the way, it is better to buy chacha in the store. In Pitsunda or on the coast.
The beach is wild. Stones. It is better to swim before lunch - the sea is quiet and warm. After lunch, the cold Bzyb current and waves near the shore.
We went to Pitsunda - there is a very beautiful beach. Small pebbles, pines.
Nature is amazing. It is not very hot, the coniferous smell is felt even when you are driving in a car.
There are a lot of stray dogs on the territory of the hotel. They are kind and funny. Keep in mind that if you go for lunch and leave your towel on the sunbed, they will certainly sunbathe on it.
And in Abkhazia there are poisonous frogs, snakes, turtles, praying mantises. We saw them all. We also saw dolphins, trout and cicadas.
What else to write? Do not know. Emotions overwhelm me to this day. Beautiful place! I have never seen such beauty. So sad that Georgia haunts them. But don't be afraid! You will not be harmed, they will protect you. The Russians are very fond of it.
