Rested with a child in Kotva in June 2008. We flew by plane Kyiv-Varna. Then transfer to Sunny Beach. The accompanying company in Bulgaria is Kit. Accompaniment satisfied.
Sunny Beach fully justifies its name - a lot of sun, little greenery. The sandy strip is wide, relatively clean, the entrance to the sea is gentle, the sea is full of crabs, crustaceans, small fish, and there were no jellyfish. Umbrellas and sun loungers are paid - 7 leva each - it's annoying. The resort has 2 water parks, free minibuses run to them. There are various means of transportation: a train, horse-drawn carts, cycle rickshaws, three-wheeled scooters, golf cars, water transport. Fans of noisy entertainment, "party-club" recreation are better off choosing hotels in the center of Sunny Beach. For holidays with children - hotels away from the center, for example, near Nessebar, like Kotva. Its rooms are small. Rooms located on the left side of the hotel without air conditioning. On the territory of 4 swimming pools, one for kids, there are slides, a pool with a bar. There was no animation. From 20 to 23 o'clock a disco in the style of the 70s was playing, and it's time for a child to sleep at 22, you can't close the balcony because of the heat.
The exchange rate in the hotel is slightly worse than in the exchange office around the corner.

Meals: deliberately took only a buffet breakfast, plentiful, average quality. The restaurant is spacious and the service is average. You can have lunch and dinner there, but better and tastier - in numerous restaurants (cheap and tasty - by bus number 1 in Sunny Beach to the stop "Center", the restaurant "Condor" or in the other direction - in Nessebar). Bulgarian cuisine is delicious, meat lovers - a paradise. The food is excellent, the service depends on the class of the establishment. Food and fruits are cheaper to buy in Nessebar. After passing 1 bus stop, all this can be bought in New Nessebar in the Chorno More market (in the yards) or in the market nearby.
I would like to speak about Nessebar separately - this is a unique historical and architectural monument, with a unique aura. The city is divided into 2 parts - New Nessebar and Old Nessebar, connected by an isthmus. There are about 40 churches in the city. The Bulgarians paid off the Turks in their time so that they would not destroy Nessebar, so all the buildings are in good condition. We enjoyed walking around Old Nessebar. You can also buy souvenirs there. Souvenirs selling places are similar to Kyiv's Andreevsky Spusk. Rose perfume products, ceramics, textiles (tablecloths, feranki, bedspreads, etc. ), self-woven carpets, Bulgarian leather bags, silver, etc. are brought from there. Cheap silver of different quality, a lot of stampings. And valuable "black" silver is not cheap, but there are really beautiful jewelry.
Excursions. The main attractions of Bulgaria are mostly far from Sunny Beach, so most of the excursions are from 6 to 22 pm or 2-
daily. We went on an excursion "The Ropotamo River, the cities of Sozopol, Burgas, Pomorie, the monastery of St. George. " The river did not impress, in Ukraine the banks near the rivers are more picturesque. I liked Sozopol and the monastery.
