Vacation in Bulgaria (July 2010)

Written: 27 july 2010
Travel time: 3 — 16 july 2010
Who does the author recommend the hotel to?: For a relaxing holiday; For business travel; For families with children; For recreation with friends, for young people
We rested at the Marvel Hotel in July 2010. In general, we liked the rest, the hotel is not bad, there are pluses and minuses.
The hotel is quite comfortable: good interior, large, spacious rooms, good housekeeping, close to the beach, there are a lot of cafes and shops near the hotel.
At the same time, the hotel has its drawbacks: monotonous breakfasts (for 11 days we were constantly given vermicelli and sausages), although there are fruits in the assortment, a small pool, so we had to take a seat in advance (from 7 in the morning), lack of animation for adults (there is children's animation ), change of washed linen (especially towels), lack of an iron in the hotel : -)
If we compare all the pros and cons, then the hotel is 4 *, but with a minus.

We liked Bulgaria itself and if we decide to go there 2 times, then in general we will not take breakfast at the hotel, since in a cafe (restaurant) you can eat quite well for little money (a huge portion of meat, potatoes and vegetables will cost you 10 levs ( approx 5 EUR)/person). We generally took 1 serving of soup for lunch and 1 serving of the second for two.
In Bulgaria, you need to be careful about the exchange. points: on the very first day we fell for this "divorce" - in exchange offices they write one rate, and when you already change money, it turns out that this rate (in advertising) was not a buying rate, but a selling rate, and the sign itself in the exchanger (correct) is hidden behind the wall of this exchange office (photos of such exchangers are given! ).
Even in Bulgaria, you can buy cheap leather. products : -)
