CUBA.
We arrived in the evening at about 18:00 local time, Cuba met us with heavy rain, which quickly ended, it was warm and humid.
Moscow is 8 hours ahead of Cuba.
The airport is not impressive, small and apparently not renovated for a long time, but they pass the border quickly and your luggage is already waiting for you.
It takes 15-20 minutes to get to Varadero.
Varadero is a small island - 22 km long and 500-1000m wide. On the one hand - the ocean, in which they swim and along which hotels are located (there are about 60 hotels in total). On the other side, there is a bay in which they do not bathe and there is a port.
All hotels in Cuba are state-owned, as are shops, cafes and restaurants.
Do not take US dollars with you, because when exchanging for Cuban dollars, you will be charged a commission of 20%, besides, the exchange rate is not profitable (about 0.9)!

You can fly to Cuba with the Euro (the rate was 1.2 with us), and even better with Canadian dollars, they have an even better rate, but I don’t remember exactly how much.
One Cuban dollar (peso) is approximately equal to the US dollar.
It is better to buy in duty-free, because the choice is the same as in the city, but the prices are CHEAPER! Cigars in dutik are almost 2 times cheaper! Alcohol for 1-3 $.
Tequila OLMECA, which costs more than 1000 rubles, costs 300 rubles there (both regular and gold).
Rum Varadero - from 150 r per 0.7 l.
A jar of honey 0.33 ml - 60 rubles, ground coffee - about 300 gr. - 120 rubles. The coffee is good.
People in Cuba are friendly and funny (at least we mostly came across such people). They are Catholics, which means that they are not at all like the Muslims that Russian people are used to in Egypt and Turkey. They are not so wild. Cuban men do not pay much attention to women, as Cubans themselves wear very short skirts, even hotel staff.
They speak Spanish. The language is mostly spoken in English, and a little Russian.
Russians are treated well, as well as tourists from other countries.
We were there for 2 weeks, with the weather we hit 50%50. We swam only on the first day, and then 4 days - it was raining and it was cold, even in a long-sleeved sweatshirt. Then the weather seemed to clear up, but there were still rainy days.
For several days there was very calm weather, no wind, the ocean was almost without waves, it was warm - beauty!
HOTEL.
The hotel is good, corresponds to 4 *.
Consists of two-story houses, 4 rooms on each floor. The rooms are ordinary, not small, maybe a little bigger than in Egypt, all have balconies. The room has a table, TV, two glasses, an ashtray, a bed, two bedside tables, a sofa, a chair, a mirror, a wardrobe, a safe… the usual set. There is no kettle.
A bottle of water was given upon check-in, then they calmly poured water in the restaurant into an empty bottle.
You can not demand rooms with ocean views at the reception, they simply are not there)

In my opinion, wherever you are settled, the location is good everywhere, the territory is not very large (beautiful, well-groomed, gardeners give flowers to girls from trees and smile broadly)), the pool and restaurants are in the middle.
On the territory there are shops - products, souvenirs, T-shirts, shorts, swimwear, umbrellas).
Prices are not more expensive than in the city, and something is even cheaper.
The hotel makes delicious mojitos and pina coladas.
FOOD.
The food we had was the same as in 5 * hotels, if not better (we talked with tourists from other hotels).
Every morning there were freshly squeezed juices - mango, papaya, pineapple, orange, tangerine...
Fruits - pineapples, grapefruits, oranges, tangerines, papaya, bananas.
If you are going to Cuba for a beach holiday, you will get it here!! ! (…if the weather is lucky…)
There is no fish there, so maybe the porlchka will only swim through... So you should not take masks.
CONCLUSION.
We went there for 99 tr. for 15 days/14 nights. All inclusive.
If we had paid more money for the trip, we would probably have regretted it, because there is nothing special to see there, except for the ocean and the beach. The hotel, in general, like all hotels, nothing outstanding.
The flight is still heavy: there - 12 hours, back - 10.
We went on an excursion to Havana - interesting, but not enough, we just walked through the streets, went into some not very interesting museum and ate in a cafe. All.
It was very interesting to go to Liberty Island, because. for the first time, the ocean and the beach are a fairy tale. The hotel is good, no complaints.
Would go again. . .
It's worth the trip!
