There was a beach 500 meters from the hotel, but it is rocky, there are constantly waves, our baby could not go there, so we had to go to better beaches. Room cleaning was good, linens were changed. Simply, this hotel is not suitable for families with children, it was advised to us by the agency, but we were not satisfied with the choice. There are many different shops, cafes and other things both inside and outside the hotel.

We chose a hotel for a long time, since the offers from Mouzenidis Travel, with which we have been traveling all over Greece for several years, are mainly presented by Europeans, and not by us. We opted for the 4+ Athena Beach Hotel. I give it a well-deserved five. The location is excellent - the hotel is on the first coastline, that is, there are two exits - towards the coast and towards the city. Paphos promenade with its restaurants and fish taverns is 20-25 minutes on foot or by bus, along Poseidon Street 5-7 minutes - the benefit is a stop next to the hotel.

The choice is excellent - the hotel offers two options - the main restaurant offers a more Europeanized cuisine (starting from cutting fresh vegetables, yogurts, muesli and cereal, eggs in various variations to puddings and souffles, dried fruits and jams. I generally keep quiet about pancakes - because of them I brought a couple of extra pounds)), also in a nearby restaurant, the emphasis is on Mediterranean “Greek” cuisine - there is a larger selection of cheeses, olives and snacks, and the restaurant itself is smaller. Who likes what. Pleasantly pleased with the fruit in the room on the occasion of the settlement and coffee and tea set. The rooms are equipped more than for a comfortable life - hair dryer, iron, ironing board, scales (! ), bathrobe / slippers - everything is there. They clean every day, update bathroom accessories, which is very pleasing. About sore wi-fi.
We were lucky - during our vacation they did the replacement of equipment - so it was free, but as the reception staff said, in the near future it will be provided on a paid basis.
In general, the hotel makes a very pleasant impression - unobtrusive music, friendly staff and not so often heard Russian speech. So boldly, I recommend it to those who want a quiet and comfortable place where it's nice to come back!

A fairly large area with an interesting location of pools, bridges, bars and general infrastructure, while the beach is weak, the normal entrance is only from 2 floating pontoons, there are actually rocky breakwaters nearby, there are also boulders in the water. Between the sea and the hotel, the promenade, like in most hotels in Paphos, for joggers and just walking along the sea, stretches all the way to the harbor with the old fortress. Behind the hotel is a street of bars and nightclubs min. 15-20 on foot or 1.5 euros by bus, where you can pass the evenings and nights to your heart's content. The service at the hotel, of course, leaves much to be desired, thanks for giving free wi-fi, despite the fact that it usually costs 3 euros a day, only gratitude to the management and staff from the reception, but specific people work in restaurants. You don’t call to ask for something, but after the service they snort something in Greek and leave with a crooked face, or the Germans and the British feed them well with tea, but our people are clearly disliked. In general, quite a comfortable hotel with quality cuisine for a relaxing holiday and exploring the historical heritage of the Paphos region.

The indoor pool was very well heated, which was especially important for the month of January, since you could only swim in it. I would really like to visit the hotel in the summer, as there are beautiful pools with a jacuzzi and a beautiful beach on the territory. I note that the hotel is suitable for a quiet relaxing holiday, the main contingent in January is the British, Germans and French "over 60". But we just wanted a relaxing holiday, and we got it.
